Just went from plat to silver (loss streaks OP) and I've noticed something (TL;DR bottom)

Quick note before I point out my realization, do not play this game your mood is remotely negative. Was arguing with my wife all week, shit shows in my gameplay. Horrible awareness and bad decision making. Literally think I've won like 5 of my last 40 games and the majority of losses were my fault. Feeding, low CS score, bad warding. In order to play this game, you need to be able to mentally submerge yourself. Instantly being tilted as Wukong when I'm laned against Garen/Fiora/Yi/Irelia/Annie (damage reduction annoying and OP).

Anyways, here's the absolute only one thing I've noticed to be different from playing in diamond/plat to playing in gold/silver/bronze (yes, I'm been bronze before. I actually think this account may be bronze, haven't played on this in awhile, unsure).

Low elo players have a horrible mentality, thinking if they're not killing the opposition, they're playing the game wrong. Basically, lack of priority.

I just played with a guy (in silver) who arguably has better mechanics, farming than I do. But his decisions are absolutely stupid. He has over 70% health, his opponent had less than 20% in the early laning phase. He was already up roughly 25 cs.

THE RIGHT THING TO DO HERE IS WARD THE SIDE THE JUNGLER IS ON AND KEEP FARMING FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDE THE GANK WILL COME FROM! They can't farm in lane, it's too dangerous. You get to freely farm (last hitting only) while they miss out on experience and cs. If they recall, you get to recall as well with more gold or you can keep farming for higher CS and level advantage (very possible since he had 70% health remaining, a item 2003 left and 55% mana).

You can even hard push into turret, letting you get more farm (or roam if you have the right champ) until they wise up and recall or risk engaging you away from turret.

~~the absolute wrong fucking thing to do in this situation is to chase them under their turret (while minions are mid lane) and try to secure a kill ~~

TL;DR If you're winning lane, higher health, higher farm. You don't have to kill your lane opponent. Watch for the gank, roam, freely farm. Even without getting a kill, you'll have enough experience and gold advantage while your opponent decides if it's worth staying in lane.

Best case scenario, your jungler (with more than 60% health and flash ready) comes to help you secure the kill while still being aware of enemy jungler location.

Thats why I have multiple accts. When I go on tilt (rarely) or play with bronze RL friends I just use another acct

Yeah, the thing i've noticed at low elo (usually spending the majority of every season before making it to plat in the home stretch), is that people only have fun when they are fighting/killing. Players have no problem risking a huge lead to take a fight that is unnecessary, they will go for a kill that pushes them to their mechanical limits and end up going 1 for 1, not realizing that when you are way ahead that's a huge boost to the losing team.

I've always been the type of player who has the most fun when I just play well. Like at the end of the game not looking at my KDA, but thinking, "wow, I played that really well. It was effiicient, it was clean, I didn't throw. Etc.) Now I get that a lot of people love the high action, but here's the deal: if you learn to have fun just by playing well and not only have fun when you are snowballing or actively fighting. You will in the end have more fun because your enjoyment is fully based on your performance. And it doesn't matter if you win or lose, doesn't matter how many kills you got, if your team feeds, etc. You just say 'how well did I play this game?" And let that be your gauge. Find enjoyment in that.

In the end, sometimes it's ok to push top lane when you took inhib bot and just play a long siege. The super minions are on your side, let them win the game for you. Often if you play patiently you don't even really have to have a full on fight again after taking 1-2 inhibs. And here's the thing, IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIGHT YOU SHOULDN'T.

Remember kids - your kill score doesn't win the game. You only need one kill to win - the nexus. That's it. That's all. The end. Don't prioritize other things over it, and don't jeopardize your ability to do so as quickly and CLEANLY as possible.
