we don't care about his damage, even if its higher we don't care that he has longer range we don't care that he finally has a skillshot on Q we don't care about lower mana costs

we care about his old playstyle that made him fun and a awesome champion to main, now he's completely different.

I didn't like his old play style, I felt like there was something missing. These changes make him an attractive champ to purchase.
