I haven't seen any champ with a mechanic that could break the game this hard since Season 2
There's no way Riot can seriously think Ryze isn't bad enough to be put to the side until the next patch

his passive now makes it so that while it is in effect each ability reduces the cooldown of other abilities by 4 seconds. So w Q E R W Q E Q W Q E Q W Q E Q W could effectively g on until the passive ends or he runs out of mana.
Also this does effect his ult's cooldown so basically endless spell vamp.

The second game was a teambuilder game where I dumped on him with AD Leona top. His permasnare is kinda ridiculous right now, yes, but that hardly makes him a free win. His win rate in diamond and challenger is still only 49% and he's lost multiple games in LCS as well.

The duration increase to both his R and Passive were insane buffs. He went up like 12% winrate.
Going from 3 seconds at level 1 to 6 is a huge buff and if you disagree you are an idiot.

Even if his passive procs that doesn't stop him from blasting through mana. Use someone with MR or sustain and he can't do much. Sorry you have trouble with your glass cannon top lane but Ryze has more counters than other hypercarries like Vlad and Nasus.

They are literally the easiest thing in the world to gank. They all have the exact same counter to a gank as Ryze does, a single CC skill, with 3/4 of them being skillshots.
The difference is Ryze can build tanky throughout the game, so that vulnerability doesnt last.
And after a short amount of time these long range mages cant come close to fighting Ryze.
Earl Eulrich1 votesactually no, i just pointed out that it´s highly hypocritcal to close out those champs because they are easy to gank and in the same sentence praise ryze as op though he´s even more easy to gank. ...getting tanky sometime doesn´t help you early on, as you won´t get ganked after the laningphase is finished (not to mention ryze after the changes doesn´t get as tanky as the old one anymore, or he´ll drop in dmg later on).

Ryze being able to literally permanently root someone until they die is 100% completely broken, as in Rito's comments on the matter make a pretty strong case that they never intended for it to happen.
