I know the feeling. A lot of mains (including myself) hate when their champion is in meta due to that reason.

I would play him if he wasn't shit in lane. I also hate it when my main is meta. Remember the whole pta Shyvana issue. I main shyvana. That was stirring up allot of heat and eventually riot nerfed her into the ground because they nerfed the part of pta that shyvana actually benefits from which is the % bonus damage and she isn't supposed to be a late game scaling champion. They also nerfed her q. She's supposed to be strong all game. Luckily the fixed it with a revert to a pervious nerd and a buff to the PTA level scaling so it's much stronger early.
