The item is really garbage. its niche was fullfilled and more so by . while you gonna say? well. this doesnt give damage and it reduces your own. well. its not like champions that built steraks needed the damage from it because its pretty insignificant and it doesn't really help most abilities scalings. but the item is just purely bad. because its cheap and low efficiency. its not slot efficient. early game its quite worthless because it scales with bonus hp. and late game well lets just say any tank item is better than steraks.

the only way to fix this item without making it broken is to make it a 3k gold item that bruisers can build late game. cheap item that sucks early game is A 100% NO NO in league of legends

don't get why the downvotes started. This item has honestly became useless for 4 Reasons

1- item 3156 is far superior even though it only blocks magic damage 2- item 3026 being reworked as an AD item, really made Steraks feel pointless. For the whole theme was, Steraks to block burst while gaining damage, with GA to revive you and give tank stats. But with GA you get lots of damage more so than from steraks, and you get a revive which can be better in many more scenarios. 3- item 3193 Is border line the exact same ability as steraks but works even better. 4- item 3022 Give even more defensive stats, more so than the shield would, and even if it's more expensive, is honestly worth the gold in the scenarios you want it.

So yeah the OP is right, steraks is out classed by many items, and can honestly use a looking at

You only build it on champs where triforce is core. Absolutely disgusting on nasus. Other than that yeah it's bad.

The fact that Stoneplate exists makes the situation even worse since its HP counts toward Sterak's for a truly ludicrous shield. Even with the upcoming change to make Stoneplate's HP split between base and bonus, it will still be huge. Sterak's will now never not be shit.

but thats overkill. stoneplate duration is short. you're not going to make use of the bonus by the time you're low and it doesnt give any hp without the active

That's why you activate Stoneplate before Sterak's triggers.

I build it on Irelia purely for the damage, but I'd agree it's an abysmal item right now.

It needs to have less decay on the shield honestly. Be that a slower decay or a decay to a higher percentage of the max shield. As it stands you just end up losing 75% of the shield to decay in most cases.
