Shouldn't fizz be using his invulnerability to dodge attacks in lane
Why does he also take way less damage from minions?
He can trade with you all day in melee range and take no punishment for it

the problem with fizz pole imo, is that it does too much at once. if his invulnerability would be a problem, then fioras riposte would be a problem aswell. yet, the ability seems to be perfectly fine.
its simply too much that he can dodge abilities with it, while he moves and then deals damage on impact.
it should be either one or the other. and it also should force him to jump into the direction he initially took, so youre able to dodge the thing as well as hes able to dodge your abilities with it.
isn't the point of invulnerability? to avoid all attacks?

He takes less damage because every ability he uses to attack puts him in melee range of an enemy. If he hits, minions change aggro to him. The only ranged ability he has is his ult, and it's damage is a lot less if he doesn't get up close and fight.
If he gets up close, it's up to you to punish him. If you can't, then you made a mistake somehow.
imo the change they should make to trollpole.
double tapping it takes him immediately into the target direction as a long range dash. he loses his ability to negate damage during the dash. he also can not change direction for the second leap. the momentum causes him to deal damage on impact.
single use gives him the first leap, and he sits on the pole to dodge damage. but then loses the second dash. he simply jumps down from his pole at the position hes currently at without dealing damage.
one of the problems with fizz, is that he can easily dodge abilities while his abilities are bloody hard to dodge themselves. because his movement is so unpredictable or just point and click.
I like the ideas of Playful Trickster. It's an all-in-one ability that makes Fizz unpredictable and OP.
Playful/Trickster: Dodges EVERY offensive ability in the game. Jumps over walls Gap closes more than most mobility abilities Clears waves of minions (AoE burst) Repositions him in unpredictable patterns to combo with escaping or re-engaging.
It's literally the only ability in the game without any form of counter play. You don't know what the Fizz will do. The worst part is that it's up again in 5 seconds so you only really have one option: Respect it and run away.
I don't even want to get into the disadvantage of chasing a Fizz that's low hp, it's either a waste of time or suicide.
other solution would be reducing his base damage and increasing AP scaling, that way he would have to be built AP to deal some damage, because now we have broken AD and Tank fizz which makes him deal tons of damage and be unkillable.
they kinda did that with ekko in 5.15 and he was less of a problem in that area.
