Is the Nexus even needed?
99.99% of the games are surrended, you can even remove it we won't realise the difference

Maybe if you stopped going all "gg its over" after losing first blood you'd see more close matches.
who does that anyway? saying "gg its over" doesn't change anything, you will lose no matter what, i watch some time a stream of a russian playing in master, it's 50/50. you get 5 kills in early you win, you get stomped by 
you lose.
