Well I suck at Assassins.

The key to carrying yourself out of Bronze? HOLY SHIT NO.

Fun fact about me, I don't play assassins. I actually had no idea that the "Assassin" summoner icon from teambuilder existed. I got all of the other ones immediately after they debuted teambuilder/offered the icons, and I had no idea I forgot it.

I got inspired yesterday to play some Akali after god knows how long since I've last touched her. It was fun in early game, when I went like 11/1 and slaughtered everyone, but then every game they just balled up in 4-5 people for the rest of the match. I wasn't exactly in 1 shot territory, so I couldn't do shit to help the team. One game I just wound up stealing my jgler's blue buff to split top all game.

What the hell do you do when they ball like that?

It can be pretty hard to fight against, and splitpushing might be your best bet. However, make sure to look for any opportunities where someone splits off from the group. Also, assassins like Zed and LeBlanc (maybe even Kassadin) might have an easier time killing someone in a clump and then jumping out.

Personally, I play Shaco a lot and build him as a tanky fighter (Cinderhulk, Hydra, Cleaver, Maw of Malmortius, Frozen Heart, etc.) It helps a lot to be somewhat ahead, but you're tanky and can still near-instantly kill people, meaning it's possible to run in, kill someone, and get out.

Doesn't have to be an assassin. I carried myself out with Rek'Sai. So just keep playing different champs until one clicks. I believe that mid is the easiest carry position, but I prefer playing champs that not only can solo kill, but also team fight and assist. It seems this meta is more or less leaning towards the heavy cc, all in team fights. So if you want to find something to carry yourself out on, look at something like Viktor, Gragas, Diana, Orianna, Annie, etc. I would say those are just a few high carry level champs.

Force map pressure. The more people that have to split off to make sure you don't take objectives, the better. If one comes to deal with you, you can take care of them or leave.

Late game, this may not exactly work, so the best you can do is take out their squishiest members or wait to clean up.
