Anyone Else Hate Seeing Singed?

I am not saying Singed is op, he is just one of most obnoxious champions to have in your game, on either team. Every time he is "meta" or popular, I start to hate going Top lane lol, its not like I am incapable of dealing with him, it is just not very fun facing him.

Swain and Rumble are also starting to annoy me, but they are more manageable or at least easier.

the main issue with singed is that he exists as a champ, the other issue is the 4x dark seal bs that keeps going on (the only viable way to build him now) basically it makes his power spike so much stronger. Also the reason singed is showing up more and more is the tank meta, he crushes tanks so hard so therefore he's gonna be played more.

Replace Singed with Yasuo and Riven your statement would still be true.

Hmm I wonder why you got downvoted, I also don't like seeing Yasuo in my games. I don't think he is OP right now, or really all that broken tbh, I mean he is a lot stronger than he should be at least early game but other than that. However, that doesn't mean he isn't obnoxious... dashing all over the place, throwing windwall's around, going 0/7 then suddenly he is 23/7. Even worse on your team because the opposite is true no dashing, no windwalls, and goes 0/7 then ends up 2/37 (lol).

Riven I enjoy facing, cuz they so cocky and think they badass, then I curbstomp them and the /all chat rage starts coming out :D ... then they go bot lane and double kill them, go mid and kill them and your jungler, then come back and kill you... still fun before then.

Singed a.k.a Running Away Simulator

Honestly I'm getting sick of pretending Singed is balanced. He's just not. He's way too tanky and does way too damage and feels way too strong and inescapable at every point in the game.

TequilaZombie1 votes

Singed is not that much tankier than your average tank. His passive has potential, but it's not like his tank build uses too much of it anyway. On the other hand, Singed is sliperry as fuck and getting a hold on him is almost impossible.

He does feel too strong early/mid game, but falls off way too hard.

Chaos6891 votes

On the contrary, he scales way too hard. He does easily 2k damage in about three seconds with a loose hitbox and insane movement. He has over 5k HP jsut for building damage. Rly?

there are plenty of ways to rekk singed in lane and if you played vs enough of them you can make them worthless.

rushing mallet for example, or purposely making him push lane as he generally tends to do this... learning to last hit under your own turret also lowers the effectiveness of singed in general because most of them push 24/7.

or wait to 2v1/3v1 him when he tries to farm behind your turret

the thing about singed is that hes not really a "team" player...he also requires a lot of skill in my opinion to play and if are a bad singed player its easy to go 0-10 on him or something similar

also i know this is hard for most people but.... DONT EVER CHASE A SINGED. if you dont burst him then just let him go.

been a while since I seen a good Singed that does 2k damage in 3 secs or w/e you are saying :P

I honestly hate Darius Illaoi TahmKench top lane champs 10000times more than Singed

Chaos6891 votes

That's because singed has a low pickrate. Nobody rushes mallet. That's not a viable first item. When you 2/3v1 them, the Singed will run away at lightspeed and chunk you with his ridiculously overtuned poison. I have to burst him, you say? What do you call a 13/2 Rengar then? I was fed AF and still couldn't kill him.

the key to beating singed is to not come to his lane unless he is like 20% hp but even then you make sure you have enough cc to lock him down for 3-4 seconds otherwise he's just gonna trolol away.

Genocide Victim1 votes

Singed needs a rework badly. Hopefully he's next after WW

grug1 votes

he'll never get reworked because singed represents a style thats unique to LoL and i believe the design team recognises this.

Shuyin1781 votes

Singed currently isn't even being considered as far as I'm aware. Galio is the next champion to be reworked and should be out before the next new champion as well according to Riot.

There are some champion designs that are SO bad my 5 year old can do better.

Signed is one of them.

Riot Employee: "OH I have it he runs, never really attacks anyone, builds nothing but tank but does crap tons of damage and cant be caught! Lets add a laugh just to piss everyone off even more."

The thing I hate most about Singed is when I'm NOT top lane, cuz most of the time my top laner knows nothing about Singed and doesn't ward anything, or expect him to just walk behind his turret and start his proxy farm fest. Suddenly my top laner is 0/7 and Singed has FB tower. Though I also hate how you basically can't interact with him at all unless you have some CC to lock him down, because even if you go in for a trade after locking him down, he just walks away and you lose more health than he did. Not to mention every Singed I've faced has always had the jungler be like their BEST FRIEND. If I could 1v1 him it'd be fine in a lot of situations, but any time I do the jungler always seems to be camping top lane.

Singed is one of the most healthy split pushing champions in the game.

He is far more healthy for the game, as a split pushing champions, than the other split pushers who are mostly "kill you, take towersuperfast, i have 1000 jumps you can catch me if you come with 2 people, lol"

The thing that makes singed healthy is his inability to kill a tower FAST, and his limited ability to escape compared to, trynd or jax.

Stephenizgod1 votes

Really? Singed can take turrets actually surprisingly fast nowadays and he is arguably harder to kill and catch than pretty much anyone else. He also does a ton of damage if you ever try to trade with him in lane, unless you are super tanky in which case neither of you can kill the other but he can proxy you 10x better than you can him.

Aptest1 votes

Have you seen a trynd take a tower? Have you seen a Jax takes a tower?

that's my point of reference.

Stephenizgod1 votes

I didn't say he takes it faster than them, I said he takes it faster than you would think. You roam once or twice (depending on how long you are gone or if you don't have TP) and he will most likely take your turret.

Aptest1 votes

If you have 2 complete roams before the tower falls, that is ok. if you have half a roam, that is not ok.

The problem with the "split pusher top" meta is this: starting in the early mid game, If the other guy kills you, he takes a tower.

if he can beat you and doesn't kill you, he takes tower slower. if you go elsewhere on the map, the time you have to push an alternative win condition is super low because he takes tower really fast, so you can't do that either. you end up with having to choose a champion that can beat the other guy 1v1 and take towers fast. And both of you are playing the same game and non of you have the option of doing anything else.

In addition since tower taking by those characters is so fast and their ability to both snowball themselves foreward AND either trade 1 for 1 when they get ganked by 2-3 people or just escape is so obscene, they end up making the game about themselves, where it doesn't matter what mid and bot are doing, because the enemy top has won and now you have to spend everybody to deal with him while the rest of the map gets swiped for free.

I.E. the losing side's team (remember losing in this case can be at level 5-6, 5 min into the game) is on a timer, and the moment they cave in to the pressure they start losing.

This is basically a result of there not being good "not good split pushers" that kick the shit out of jax/trynd and the other "duelists" in the mid to late game.

EDIT: ofc this is all deep in the "used to be" since we are now living in the "bot lane objective and rotations snowball". Which is btw far more healthy for the game as a whole.

Stephenizgod1 votes

Again you are missing my point, all I am saying is Singed can take the turret faster than you would think. Pretty much anyone who can proxy for a decently long period of time without much risk can take a turret fairly quickly.

You are getting too situational, its not really a great argument that is based on certain situations nor was I even comparing him to other split-pushers in the first place. All I said was that he can take turrets fairly fast and is hard to kill.

Aptest1 votes

ok

CyberBalt1 votes

Singed does very little damage to turrets himself. He just whittles down turrets by proxying behind it so that minions are constantly attacking turret (or using a zzrot/banner).

CyberBalt2 votes

How about Yorick? He has no escapes, so his seems pretty fair.

Stellafreyja1 votes

I feel the same way. Not to mention, if I play ARAM, he usually builds tanky AP (Rod, Liandry's, Rylai's, etc) and he still somehow finds a way to be extremely tanky without building any resists. Like, I can deal with him, but it's not fun.

Jinzo Torrance1 votes

I like how he interacts with his lane opponents, you know, by going proxy and never seeing each other. Great stuff.

A Singed Mirror lane must be just riveting to watch

Summonah123691 votes

I didn't think much of him at first, but then the enemy top went Singed and managed to walk across the entire top lane just to get 1st blood. Everytime he was so low that you think you were able to kill him, he'd still fucking escape.
