Why the fuck does anyone main assassins?
If you don't go 30/0, you need your team to actually work with you. Who the fuck wants to deal with doing well and then being held back by playstyle differences every game?

You always need your team to work with you after the laning phase is over though. The team that doesn't work together normally loses.
It doesn't have anything to do with roles. It sounds like your team just had poor synergy.
How does that have to do with anyone maining assassins? So you expect assassin mains to go 30/0 all the time??
No, that's the problem. They don't go 30/0->they have to deal with their teams. I've been playing Ekko- lots of fun in the first 10 minutes, and then it just all goes to shit because my team has no idea what it's doing. People get caught out and I get 1v3'd six times in a row.

That sounds like you getting caught out :s
Because it's League of Legends easy mode.
I main assassins and i seem to be doing perfectly fine TBH.
I play assassins because I like a playstyle where I do well based off of catching people mistakes and then brutally destroying them because of it.
Because
is the funnest champion I have ever played.
and love exploding people who decide to split push instead of group as a squishy.

shaco is definition of cancer
Ekko main detected. Honestly shaco is weak in most regards and is near useless if he doesn't snowball or if the enemy starts pink warding.
shaco is annoying, yes, but not even close to cancer champs like
{{champion:429}
}
Uh, I don't know about you but assassins are possibly the class that require the least teamwork because everything is a solo kill for them. If you shouldn't play assassins because you need your team to work with you then surely the idea of playing a tank, a utility mage or a support is a hundred times more horrifying to you.
