Are there any Snowballing Supports?
Is Annie the only snowball support? Still trying to carry myself out of Bronze. Really, really enjoy the support role.

I lol'd +1.
Also, I'm a mastery7 on Nunu support, but the ADC tears were too much for me.
Any offensive support will snowball like crazy, Annie isn't even considered very good as a support right now. Instead look at Brand, Vel'koz, Leona, Blitzcrank, maybe Zyra and Malzahar although they just got nerfed.
Thanks, man. And thanks to Geropac. I appreciate the help.

Brand is top tier, if you can land his stun you will win most trades botlane, and his ult thrives in a 2 man lane b/c of the bouncing.
Zyra, she can one shot a whole team.
of course there are, silly

I don't see blitz as a true carry support in bronze because you rely too much on your team to follow up your plays. I would go with a caster if you want to carry such as Zyra or Brand.
Even after the nerf, I think Zyra is easier to play with Brand and better before level 3.
Brand can be difficult because his spells cost a ton and you really have to combo them well to be effective. IMO Brand is still one of the best hard carry supports because his combo+ultimate does so much damage in team fights.
In my opinion Leona is one because she will get impossibly tanky early on and be so hard to deal with

Not in bronze. You have to trust your ADC to follow-up on your plays. Ideally in anything below gold you want a champion that can do a lot without your ADC following up.
I started supporting with brand. He is a really rewarding champ if you get the combo but requires alot of peeing because he is like annie and needs to get close to maximize his damage. His level 3 powerspike is incomparable which you should make use off at bot lane.
Just give him long enough...
He is strong enough to provide heavy damage, turns into a huge engage frontline, can easily dive behind enemies etc. etc. Plus he is pretty safe with his Q to walls. Honestly how I climbed most of season 5.
Gah, for awhile there I had something like a 56% win rate with him, but I found it hard to convert bot-lane domination into game wins. Mages just seem to have an easier time.
Just throwing it out there just because you lock in zyra, or brand (carry supports) doesn't mean they're the ticket out of bronze if that's your goal. Your ticket is what you're good at, not who you can 1v5 then throw the game at baron as.
Frankly, the best supports are the ones which don't make your ADC irrelevant. Especially in bronze elo ADCs tend to fall off, get caught, or don't actually know how the role ADC works, if you take all the kills they just become heavier (unlike in gold+ which supports taking the kills is fine as the ADC will likely still come back).
Particularly:
are really solid carry your carries champions as they can forgive mistakes by your ADC (mispositioning, walking into stuns, healing), glue team comps together (can engage / tank, reliable CC for a whole team, Provides good peel and a knockup for those bronze yasuos who complain), and are generally fun an enjoyable to play so thats a plus.
Playing brand or zyra won't make you climb if your ADC is constantly dying still, and your team comp isn't fitting for them such as too much ap or no real engage. Like I said, protecting and peeling your ADC is way more important in bronze than it is in gold+ cause they become much more dead weight the lower elo you get when behind. Also "carry" supports are situational sometimes, they suck vs. certain matchups (example, you pick zyra and then MF support wins lane) and lack syngery with certain ADCs (example, brand isn't good with a kalista).
At the risk of sounding arrogant, I'm good with a majority of the support champs. There's a few I don't get/like/play, but overall I can generally win based on my own skill - feeding ADCs, or (worse) coward ADCs tend to cost me.
I personally do well with Naut, Braum, and Nunu. Lately (this season) I've been murdering games as Zilean since maxing his slow first is disgusting gank denial. But all 4 of those champs struggle to roast people in the mid to late game.
I guess that was my question. You see these champs: Garen, Darius, Illaoi, Kat, Nasus, LeBlanc, etc. that when they get fed, they roam and it's pretty much lights out. I need a version of that in Support. And I can't find it. I'll try Brand.

Unforunately that's not support specific to counter those champions (for the most part). Some of those champions should be removed doing ban phase, but here's some tips for some of them:
: Nautilus is pretty good, just ult them, braum can be tricky to ult because it goes in a very telegraphed direction, whereas a nami can cover a large area. Its best to just exhaust katarina, and make sure your team focuses her. When she ults interupt it with CC. Both these champs are pretty disgusting and ban worthy so don't take it hard on yourself if you can't shut them down as a support (brand and zyra are wet dreams for kat and leblanc actually, they're another squishy to burst down.)
: Kite, what that means is you force them to chase you inorder to catch and kill you. This makes them very all in champions in which your team can punish for their lack of escape mobility (ex. jarvin can go to a flag to leave, or ult to gap close, but garen just runs where a stun can stop him). When he runs to your carries, stun him / slow with anything and let your team kill him. Darius same deal but a little trickier, exhaust him especially if he's ahead.
: End before 20. Nasus is strong in bronze because players don't know how to close games vs. a stacking nasus. Tell your jungler you always pressure top so he doesn't free farm as much, and force objectives. He's a champion about stalling then getting out of hand so try to end. This actually isn't a bad time to pick brand or zyra cause you can pressure your lane really well and try to force bot lane rotation earlier. Stun him though if he's actually doing damage.
: Never fight in the tight jungle where tentacles are guaranteed to hit you, when she ults walk away out of it, then either fight or flash your mastery. If you have no choice but to fight her, try to time your stun so when she lands back down from the ult cast it stuns her, then chain it, her tents don't hit unless she hits.
Like I said, any support is going to struggle trying to 1v9 cause that's not their job. However you can make the game easier by 2v8ing letting you and your ADC being strong. In general it doesn't sound like an issue with your champions, it sounds like an issue with knowing how to handle certain meta threats right now.
I would think more situationally and less independantly when it comes to who you got bot lane with. Your post wasn't arrogant at all, but I'm just giving advice give or take.
Sorry, I meant snowball equivelence in the support role, i.e. what is the Darius of Support?
Bard has the best level 1 not lane
if you take ignite you can easily force a kill early
Karma
I feel like she relies on the ADC too much, no?
What do u mean?
Well her shield seems to be a utility item. How does she snowball?
Her passive becomes super powerful mid to late game. This allows her to make great plays with her ult, and when combined with the right items, she can deal enough damage to carry herself and save her entire team.
an aggressive veigar support can hard carry, if ur lookin for off picks
I'm looking for Gold
A lot of these are really aggressive supports that go in the support role but I would be hard-pressed to call their champion role support. So I thought I'd suggest
; She's pretty snowbally, and she's also pretty flexible with builds if you find that by some miracle the adc is good.
Here's a personal issue I have. I've always found Sona to be so faceroll that I refuse to play her on principle. I'm aware she's very good, but I can't bring myself to do it.
