Jungling is probably the worst role (that or support) in its current state

Let's just talk about this for a second. Junglers HAVE to have some decent form of sustain to not just get destroyed by the neutral jungle creeps, or back every 3 camps. Junglers now overall get less XP (the entire jungle overall gives slightly less and camp respawn was doubled) and less gold (camps give a little more but again respawn is double and the new conservation system is nowhere near as good, especially for champions who gank way better than they farm.

And the best part, no matter how well (or even awful) you do you will almost always be blamed for someone losing lane or someone dying or just losing the game.

And most games unless I go legendary within the first 15 minutes I usually am about on par with the supports (along with the other jungler). Because kills give low XP, jungle gives low XP if you farm it, and people whine if you take 2 cs after giving them a free kill.

Ganking and taxing is literally the worst system right now to play in. You get the kill, get flamed. You give assist and take one minion, get flamed. Just don't gank and farm your lane or gank a less toxic lane, GET FLAMED.

Metabreaking is also god awful to deal with. Nobody will mind if say "mind if I try out Vayne mid" or "hey can I try Xerath top" but if you try to play something in the jungle (and this goes for support also) that isn't 'meta' you will, no matter how well you play, get flamed by most of your team.

So let's look at the fun list of reasons I hate maining jungle: -Almost always underlevel -Often under farmed if not playing with someone I know who will let me tax a whole wave after I throw them a free kill -Small champion pool since you get flamed for meta breaking or not playing support junglers (every Yi or Udyr I see gets flamed to hell for playing a farm jungler, even if they carry the crap out of their team) -Scapegoat for everyone except support and people you duo with -Get blamed by 0/16/2 when you are 7/0/4

I agree. I liked to jungle in S4 but the rework made me a midlaner.

Fall behind once - you'll get destroyed. You're behind in money and with mana picks in levels as well. If your lanes falls behind and start taking your jungle (or the enemy (top-)laner does because he's ahead) you're out of the game due to the nerfed spawn timers.

You have less money but will have to purchase more wards - because of the Raptor-Smite-Bonus and simply because (at higher Elos) the enemy midlaner will abuse the strength of the jungle creeps to gank you in your own jungle while you're low.

Not to mention that jungle always was ungrateful since you'll be blamed for lane losses.

Jungle has become frustrating and unrewarding while still being as stressful as ever (or worse). The recent Smite and jungle item nerfs sealed it.

The jungle was released in a horrible state and they actually managed to make it worse.

Jungling isn't that bad in the preseason. I enjoy it quite a bit, actually. It still needs some tuning but I think it is a lot more enjoyable that Season 4. We're also still in preseason, so they will probably do some changes to help junglers like increasing gold gain (on PBE at the moment), XP when behind in levels, heavier sustain from Machete and it's upgrades, etc. Only thing about the jungle that I feel like should be changed is some of the jungle items.

I main jungle, Rek' Sai to be specific, and I love it. I gank a few times, and i always get a kill, assist, or a summoners out of the enemies. Sometimes, my teammates are REALLY salty though. They say things like " WHERES MY F*CKING GANK TERRIBLE JUNGLER" in all chat when they die. Rek' Sai has pretty good sustain, too. I manage to get a full jungle clear before I have to go back, but only if I get a good leash from golems. I also do golems(smite it)>wraiths>red(smite it)>wolves>gromp(smite it)>blue. Then I come back and gank a lane. I gank the lanes that need a little help or can follow up. I strongly recommend Rek' Sai to all junglers because she is extremely strong late in the game. The tunnel and knock-up is a great engage, as long as your team can follow up. I build AD and then tanky so I don't get popped when I engage. My team does flame a lot, but i receive lots of praise whenever i get a successful gank off. I also get a good amount of gold and xp from farming the jungle and ganking. I don't really recommend AFK junglers, though, as they will fall behind in gold and xp. If you can deal with flamers, like I can, you can jungle.

I definitely can't see the role being worth the stress any more. It's way more interactive and varied, yes, but the lack of XP/gold and the harder hitting just ruins all the cool stuff they did with the jungle.

I still love it tbh, it also allowed me to play Twitch jungle again (in normals) and Diana jungle, what I dislike is it causing nerfs to my main (Fiddle jungle) but he's still fine so I'm still fine.

As for advice on how to deal with it, if you're ranged you can kite the creeps for a bit, if you mess up it costs a few seconds but it saves a tonne of hp, it's the only way twitch can jungle. Try to smite red for the hp it gives, if you start golems just go golems > raptors > red > gank/wolves. Flaming the jungler has always been a popular sport in league of legends, just like "blame the healer/tank" in mmo's, someone is going to get the blame, and people rarely blame themselves. I tend to keep up in lvls with botlane, top/midlane if I'm doing really well. Try to balance ganking/farming and pay attention to the champ you play, if you play fiddle jungle you can do both quite well but as Twitch jungle you need to gank a lot. Try not to stick around at a lane too long, make sure you either gank asap or return to the jungle. I see people hugging brush for >5 sec too often and it's just sad as they fall behind hard. Counterjungling the enemy is also a nice way to squeeze extra exp. The champ pool is something you control, junglers I've seen work well are:

Lee Sin (though I swore never to play that horrible design again) 1Diana 2Fiddlesticks 3Warwick 4VI 5Rek'sai 6Yi 7Nasus 8Evelyn (though she needs an early gank to get going) 9Hecarim 10Xin 11Jax 12Nunu and less regular but still work: 13Cho'gath 14Fiora 15Twitch 16Naut(?) (Seem to remember one but maybe he got lucky)

And those 16 are just the ones I've seen/played since preseason and I haven't played a lot yet, but 16 isn't that small a pool (neither is 12). Others that might work are:

I completely agree "allies" stealing your jungle should mind their manners and gtfo though.

I don't know how you could say support could possibly be bad with how broken they are.
