Also decent scalings? Just his passive on E will scale off AD, and only if you don't continually attack... Literally everything else scales off of his souls or AP... Sounds like you got stomped because you didn't know him. Chase him off of his souls constantly (think like Nasus) and he won't get armor as he doesn't get Armor / level, and has a base of 19. Reallllllly squishy. Should help.

have all been ruined due to Riot's current fad of "remaking" existing champions but favoritism protected champions never get changed and stay overloaded messes.
He also has access to AD items which are simply so much better then AP at the moment because of Riot favouritism.

I disagree. I think Taric, Soraka, and Zilean are a lot more fun to play now since they've been updated (and Taric is sexy as hell). Taric and Soraka may as well have been walking stat balls and wards with their previous iterations, they had very limited interactivity in lane, and both just supported by pretty much standing there and offering stats or HP. Taric now offers armor to a single person, along with heals and team invulnerability. Sure, he lost the old shred and damage bump from W and R, but his passive is deceptively powerful and E can now shut down both enemy laners. I think is update was a massive improvement of his playstyle. Soraka, on that same note, was just a heal bot that spammed Q when people got close. That was pretty much all she did. Her rework granted her her own HP management with her heals, and a great silencing tool and made her much more interactive in the lane. She now is a risk/reward champ, since she needs to land those Qs to heal back up, and while she isn't perfect, she's much more fun to use as compared to before. Zilean didn't change much at all, so I'm not sure why he was lumped into this bunch. His Q was changed from a targeted skill to a skillshot and given a conditional AOE stun, and his ult was locked out of being affected by W. Having his bombs be skill shots now did wonders in improving his game, because he could now use them to flush out bushes, grant vision in those bushes, and actually zone people in the lane. He wasn't capable of doing this with the way his bombs used to work, and it has vastly improved his abilities as a support, so I don't understand the hate.

OurLestrade1 votesThe solution is supports with more interesting mechanics for people to get into, since unfortunately Thresh is pretty much the only one with mechanics - and they're not even that complex compared to some of the champions other roles get. I was hyped for Taric and all I got was a single skill shot and a painfully boring ult, nothing I wanted to invest time into.
