Why is giving your fed mid laner blue such an issue in low elo

Succubús GF··3 votes·2,459 views

I have had junglers who took the enemies blue and their own, despite me asking for it, repeatedly. Like why? If I'm 7/1 I think that blue should be mine, The POINT was, he already HAD BLUE, he didn't need another one, and upon asking for it he takes it anyways. 9/10 them being an ad jungler that doesn't need blue

Nope nothing is your's. it's up to the jungler wether he likes to give it or not doesnt matter if you are fed or not if he feels like he wants the blue he will take the blue. This goes for every elo. Altho taking both blue buffs is rather greedy .

The attitude that OP says that "It should be mine" no doubt shines through to his jungler.

Being polite and saying "Please" and "thank you" goes a surprisingly long way with people I've found.

Just build this item 3802 , build another of your item and then close it in item 3165 . No reason to get blue other than 10% CDR honestly, never got oom once in midlane this season.

item 1056 item 1056 item 3165

Mana ceases to be an issue.

Lost chapter alone wont make me impossible to run oom, it helps mana costs but honestly, not going oom AND 10% cdr is very nice

If you watch diamond + jungle players they rarely give their midlaners blue either.

blue buff often fucks me over cause of the early CDR. Then i mess up combos :/

I watch challenger and master streams and they get blue basically every time lol..

LeafSteel1 votes

Watch Challenger and master JUNGLE streamers. They don't give blue.

For starters, it's a JUNGLE camp, not lane CS. That alone should tell you who Riot intended on clearing the camp.

But honestly, if you're 7/1 and your jungler isn't giving you the buff then he's just trash.

what you deserve2 votes

the scenario described by OP is different from what you're talking about if midlaner is 7/1 then they should have the gold to buy mana and cdr items. depending on the jungler, the blue can help sustain and allow them to clear/gank more to get themselves ahead. you don't need to snowball someone who is already snowballing.

op is talking about a jungle who already has enemy blue taking his, which is kind of pointless

I always play ap mid and I don't ask for it nor expect it it doesn't bother me. don't be a greedy asshole OP

Learn to play without blue at all - if you are given blue, consider it a gift. I'm a mid main. I almost always let my jungler have the blue because they don't usually itemize for CDR/mana regen. And even if they're manaless, it helps their energy regen, and gives 100g to them, when they have a much more restrictive gold income than you do.

If my jungler took both blues, I wouldn't care at all. Usually even when they try to give me blue, I would rather farm and zone my lane than leave, give my opponent a free uncontested wave, and potential to roam.

Lots of blue buff reliant junglers are popular right now, I gave up on getting blue on any role except junglers long ago.

Quite a lot of junglers are mana heavy, partly because you have to use spells to clear more so than in previous seasons. Plus they might need that 250-460 XP which could be like a wave and a half to a solo laner. _(Do you know how crazy some solo laners would act if you just walk in and take a wave and half?) _ And the enemy jungler can come at any time to take it away from the mid. And frankly since it stopped giving the bonus AP I think it helps jungle far more than mid.

Why is giving your fed mid laner blue such an issue in low elo

because some junglers need blue and if you're ahead should you be able to just buy the bit of mana regen/ CD blue gives...even if you can't, can you just buy damage / defence to keep your lead over the enemy.

if the jungler needs to care for your mana even when you're ahead, then your a bad mid, simple as that...

if your ahead as a mid is there no reason for a jungler to care how you sustain yourself...becuase that isn't his job...

I think im just gonna sum up what people said so far. They are very good valid point and I do agree with them 100%.

  1. Dont expect to get blue (fed or feeding)
  2. Blue is not entitle to mid lane likewise I would say the same for red buff to adc

Normally if i take enemy blue and my blue is up, i usally give my mid laner with blue. However, i do determine if i should give blue buff to my mid laner or not as a jungler. Anyways if you dont expect to get blue buff than your not gonna get work up over it but if you get blue buff when your not expecting it than it feels much better :D

I mean... I understand the argumentation of you JGL guys - I really do. Mana, CDR and EXP all nice to have. And you too want to have some impact.

But at some point everyone has to realize that an entire game can be decided by one mid getting blue while the other doesnt. The ability alone to outpush the oppenent is gamechanging since it enables a midlaner to roam and snowball the entire team.

Just look at worlds. 1st Priority give Mid Blue. 2nd Priority deny Blue from opponent. 3rd Priority get Blue your selfe.

At the same time if you're 7-1 I would assume you spent some of that gold on CDR and Mana items (assuming mage). Now.. checking your history I can see you main Kat and Ahri. With Kat you don't really need cdr items as much since you have passive cdr with abilities, and you don't have mana.

With Ahri you seem to rush CDR and Mana (Morellos and Abysmal Scepter). Now.. Giving a blue to you in the instance of Kat is nearly a waste and if you're 7-1 your jungler could use the experience, CDR, and mana regen to get him in a better position to help you carry. With Ahri giving a blue is definitely helpful early on but as soon as you get 30% CDR, Mana and Mana regen items it really isn't helping you that much and again may be better suited to your jungler.

Succubús GF1 votes

I am sure you've played ahri, most people have, lost chapter alone will sometimes leave you without mana in lane if you use q to farm, which I like to in certain matchups. 9/10 times it isn't suited for my jungler because they don't have mana issues. I would understand if it was an ap jungler but a lot of ad junglers really have no need for blue. Especially since they get regen in the jungle alone

Read my post, then respond. I'll even highlight the important part:

hmm actually if the lane minions are yours as you are the laner ... then the jungle camps are the junglers... and if he is nice enough to help you out and give them to you then be thankful but you arent entitled to any of it at all. and if the jungler is taking their buffs then maybe they feel they need them, what if they are playing a fiddle or nid or diana etc or they are doing work with the buffs? you think your the only one in the game that needs buffs?

so next time a jungler comes in lane and ganks and whether or not it nets a kill.. and they take a few cs dont mad ping them back or mia cuz they took 3 creeps... if you expect to get buffs from them...

Succubús GF1 votes

Its greedy to take both blues when I'm already ahead, a blue could give me a huge advantage and get even more ahead and apply pressure elsewhere. Also nidalee Diana and fid are all pretty bad in the jungle right now so of course I don't see them often, but maybe I need to reiterate that its usually ad junglers who refuse to give me blue despite not needing it, you think junglers don't come into lane to take farm? okay

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votes

ad junglers who use and cast spells? liek VI? who needs mana regen and cdr? and if you are ahead and have your core items which most mages have item 3165 and item 3157 and at least one item 1056 but if the jungler takes it and is able to use the advantage to have lower cd and more mana to gank more often and clear faster isnt that helpful as well?

its not about feeding and funneling all the gold into one champ. its about lifting the entire team up in any way that is possible cuz if one person is stupid fed and every one else is behind then it is to easy for the enemy to ignore the rest and focus the one fed champ and take them out and then deal with the underfed/under level players after words.

but you just see it from your mindset instead of all

but then again the game is all about you right?

on wait ... its not...

Succubús GF1 votes

Do you realize that with blue I can roam bot with the jungler and get them kills and take the turret? Do you realize that mid lane has an impact too? Or is your mind so clouded by being an ass? READ MY GOD DAMN POST. HE ALREADY HAD A BLUE. ALREADY.HAD.BLUE. DID NOT NEED OTHER BLUE, its not about "funneling gold" its about if we both had a blue we could help get other objectives. But you see, you were too stupid to see that logic, weren't you?

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votes

oh now you wanna get pissy... dont... you want your idea to be right and its is and isnt... the jungle camps and buffs arent yours as a laner... you have no right to them... you are not entitled to them...

junglers need gold, experience too and the buffs help them as well...

but you wanna make a post and bitch and rant that your horrible teammate didnt give you a buff... owell game is over ... move on... next game is the next game

but if you wanna start talking shit and name call it wont work well for you... so lets be civil... and agree to disagree and just realize you are wrong

It all comes down to how much of a team player you want to be. Realistically every blue (specially the 2,3 blues) should go to your mid lane if you want to maximize. The diff in value to mid vs jg with blue is HUGE. Mid lane has a solo lane so hell gain a massive lead on his lane and be able to spam abilities hopefully leading to kills. As a jg i take the first one obj then give them to my mid lane. Its hard to give every single one due to all games being diff, sometimes he's dead or sometimes its stolen. But at the end of it all when u watch high lvl play they give most of the blues up because they understand how much more effective it is on an AP mid lane.

Bishasaurus Flex1 votes

I never get blue, so I run Mana regen in my masteries and runes right now and I will until the new runes come out.
