Kai Guy2 votesI ran a test on pbe for nid and kayle. Nid in couger was red orbs, in human was blue. Kayle was red, with E activated was blue. I would assume this functions from looking at what their AA is when you deal damage which is what generates the orbs.

Jayce falls into the ranged category by default, which is why he also doesn't receive scaling mr.
