Will Kog'Maw Get Buffed in 2016?

As he stand Kog'Maw is not worth anything. He looks great on paper but in practice he's crap. He doubles his attack speed and the cap for AS with his W and does 2% of the targets max HP as magic damage, but it reduces AD against champions by 55%. Okay build on hit and AP. Nope the AP scaling is crap and most on hit items are provide AD which is somewhat wasteful. He's very squishy and can not escape. His ultimate scales off of AD best for some reason, the range is not useful, and the mana cost increases by 50 every time you cast it. Maybe replace his innate so that he heals for damage dealt or something. His kit is flawed and he doesn't have many items that synergize well with him.

He dishes out the damage, but he requires a team to stand on guard so he can stay still to really churn it out. This isn't something you'll find outside of 5v5 team play, which makes him lackluster for anything but that.

Why do that for Kog when you can do it for Miss Fortune instead and ace the whole enemy team?

Takes less effort and coordination to boot, since she only needs 3 seconds and her early game is much stronger.

Two different cases, imo. Miss Fortune is better at short-term engages and wombo combos. Kog'maw is better for sustained fights. Current lategame Kog can melt anything in a one on one scenario within seconds. If you go the Ruaan's Hurricane route, he can cleave down three people during a teamfight with all of the on-hit he builds.

He won't win a one on one fight because he's so soft. Pretty much anyone will kill him before he can kill them.

Koggy's W lasts for 6 seconds and then he's a useless sack of shit. If he tries Ult spamming while W is down he's just going to burn his mana pool dry.

MF can at least lob Qs at people and boost her attack speed after dropping her Ult.

So yeah, MF and Kog do the 'protect the ADC' thing differently. But MF does it better, from a safer range, with less team coordination required, over a shorter duration, to the whole enemy team, and with a much strong secondary play pattern when her Ult is on cooldown.

Oh, and she isn't crippled with an awful early/mid game.
