to me it seems pidgeon holed into being a go to item for enchanters rather than being a go to item for all supports, unlike what shurelya's used to be.
so what I am suggesting is change the build path from

Final Spark Lux2 votesHaving AP doesn't necessarily mean it's only for enchanters, there's plenty of champions who scale off AP, and it isn't the only stats it has. Also, the AP makes it look a lot more lucrative for more supports than 30 additional armor does imo.
Think of champions like Akali buying lichbane. It has mana on it, but it's still a great item on her so she still buys it. Same sort of situation here. You're more buying it for the active, not because it's an amazingly well rounded item for all situations.
InTheory1 votesThere was a similar discussion just one or two days back. The main point(s) was that tank supports have the option to opt into Righteos Glory which is also rather cheap in general. Only because it gives AP doesn't tailor it towards enchanters - that'd be heal&shield power instead.
