-Safer Laning -More damage -Ranged -Jump at level 3 minimum (often level 2) -Jump costs nothing and goes about the same distance -Better all in -Better poke -Half of her kit is manaless -Heal -AS Buff -Free wards with W -Execute -Retarded Dash on W with passive -Can play literally any role. Literally. Good AD scaling and self peel for adc, good heal and as buff for support. Don't even need to talk about top mid and jungle.

Actually, Bushwhack doesn't grant vision after the trap arms. Stepping on the trap, however, grants vision of the damaged champion.
The difference between Kass and Nidalee, however, is that Kassadin has CC (in some form) whereas Nidalee has none to be spoken of (unless you count death).
