I was OBSESSED with Hecarim during release. He was my most played champion in no time and he fits my playstyle perfectly. But... then one day last season, all of the sudden he was played top lane. Then he became popular, then he was picked professionally, then Riot decided "hes too strong top, lets just nerf him all around including in the jungle"

Have you guys tried to play him jungle lately? You run out of mana on the first damn camp you try to clear. It's so easy to nerf laning potential without hurting a champ in the jungle.

There are a HUNDRED solutions to this, but what I would propose is having his W steal mana from his targets based off a % of the damage he deals when it is used on MONSTERS.

I want to jungle hecarim again but I just cant do it right now.

I bet nautalis will end up the same too. Doubt they will stop with the nerf they have now

Hecarim is still viable as a 100% tank jungler. Anything other than that he falls WAY behind. But as far as engaging and being a complete and utter neusance to the other team in terms of getting in their faces in the middle of a team fight and tanking all the damage he is still incredibly effective. You can't try to play him as a bruiser anymore that could tank and destroy their entire team...Just effectively tank and annoy the other team is about all he excels at.

so why not play Sejuani who does the same thing Hec does with less gold and with actual kill, chase and escape potential?

He likes Hecarim?

Is it really that odd to want to play someone simply because you like them, ideally everyone should be good at SOMETHING, as long as their kit isn't inherently bad for the game (looking at you Pre-rework Poppy, Vlad as well)

Hecarim is trash tier right now. There is literally nothing he does that isn't done better than others. Trust me, I'm a Hecarim fan, I have 300+ games on him in ranked, he's trash now.
