Let's say we'll have a battle and I'm an average mid-lane champion (Lux, Ori, Ziggs, Viktor etc.). I have 3000 gold and can buy a VS or I can buy Blasting Wand, NLR, Amp Tome and save up for another 800g to complete Rabadon's. Which would do the most damage immediately (let's say that a teamfight is imminent) and is it worth waiting for Rabadon's instead?
Jcrcmiah1 votesVoid Staff will give you more damage for the next fight, Deathcap will give you more damage for the fights after. If they all have at least one magic resist item Void Staff will be better, but normally i'll get deathcap before VS
Mysticman891 votesI think giving a concrete answer would involve doing lots of math (which some people have probably done somewhere out there already), and also knowledge of the opposing teams MR (which would be situational).
Outside of situations where theres obvious MR that'd make VS better, I would probably lean towards picking up the rabadon components, but I should point out that I'm 'only' gold (last season, placements landed me S3 currently), and on top of that I don't actually play mid much.
