I really like the new Quinn rework, but...

Would RIOT be willing to consider making her Q a time-delayed-aoe skill similar to Brand or Swain or Veigar ?

it might be really cool, and fit thematically, like Valor could dive down onto them from up above. It also prevents edge cases like one minion walking into the path of the skill and preventing it from hitting either the minion wave or the enemy champion.

That would put her in an even worse spot as she's going to be after the rework

She is in a pretty great spot with the rework, the ability to choose to apply her passive makes her very strong. She still works best as a solo laner but she can go bot lane easy enough now.

Please explain how removing the skills that allowed her to go bot lane still make her able to go bot lane and actually succeed.

With this rework, she has become a ball of stats champ do to how much power they have loaded into her ult. She will either have the stats she needs to actually be successful, but that will cause her to become OP if even the slightest bit ahead, or she won't, in which case she will be useless.

The q isn't what allowed her to go botlane ... it can be blocked by support or minions which makes it unreliable. It's her e that allows her to trade in the botlane.

And her power(fighting power anyways) was put into her passive and her q. Making the q a ground target instead of a linear skill shot would make it far more reliable in lane and even in team fights.

The only real power she gets from her ult is the movement speed, which is a good amount of power but it is more situational power than damage is.

But if it were an AOE skillshot, how could you decide which target your passive was applied to?

it already does aoe damage ... it would just be whichever enemy is closest to the center.

Oh yeah... but, actually, yeah.

Her Q was a skillshot. If you could aim, then it worked. If not, obviously it's not going to do it's job. E was what gave her non-ult burst potential, but that wasn't where all her power came from Actually, both her passive and her Q damage were nerfed with this rework.

As for the ult, that's exactly what I mean. It has a lot of hidden power, nothing that can actually help her in a fight. This mean that all her damage needs to be put into her two combat abilities, which means that they need to be a lot more powerful then any other champion's abilities

I don't know if you have seen the reworked quinns q but it chunks people, and both q and e apply her passive. If you use your abilities and passive correctly you can pretty much out trade any other adc and a lot of bruisers too. Also the new mastery system and items work great for her playstyle.

The new masteries and items work great for all ADs, and they would have worked great with the old Quinn's kit.

Here are the stats for Q on the PBE:

Aerial Assault (Q) damage: 20/45/70/95/120 Aerial Assault (Q) total AD ratio: .7/.75/.8/.85/.9

And here the live stats:

Valor flies in a line and strikes the first enemy in his path. He then attacks all nearby enemies, dealing 70/110/150/190/230 (+65% bonus Attack Damage) (+50% Ability Power) physical damage and blinding them for 1.5 seconds.

With 100 AD, live Q deals 230 (+65) damage at max rank. PBE Q deals 120 (+ 90) at max rank. ( they are going to remove the execute next patch so I'm not including that in)

Her blind was the thing that let her trade with other ADCs as effectively as she did, as she had short range with not much influence outside of her basic AA range.

But on PBE she also gets to proc her passive off q and e now.

also you calculated the q damage wrong, at rank 5 it has 1:1 ratio. level 5 q means quinn is level 9 with 100 bonus ad at level 9 Live: 171 ad, PBE: 178 ad so the q damage would be Live: 230(65) = 295, PBE: 120(178) = 298

If you meant that quinn had 100 total ad (still level 9 for rank 5 q) she would have 29 bonus ad on live or 22 bonus on pbe which would make her q deal Live: 230(19) = 249, PBE: 120(100) = 220

So the new q does more damage than live as you gain ad. Even with very little ad the new q is only 29 damage behind live.

And this is ignoring that her new q also applies vulnerable which makes her next auto deal 150% damage
