Riot, give us wish-lists.

Riot, PLEASE!

Riot should make wish-lists on which we can put champions and skins that we want to buy, so that if they go on sale we receive a notification when we log in (or even to our email addresses).

This would help both players and Riot.

It would help players because they could receive reminders about content that they want so that they don't miss out on the sale for it.
This would increase sales for Riot because players would receive reminders about content that they are interested it, and thus would be more likely to spend money on it.

That's a great use for it that I hadn't even thought about! We could see what our friends want and get it for them :D

Also, people tend to feel good about purchases made as gifts for others. So there's less of a chance of buyer's remorse as well.

So far I'm not seeing downsides to this feature, except maybe spending more money than I should on skins...

probably just isn't important enough to implement.

HalcyonDwellerAug 18, 20179 votes

I disagree, I think it would encourage players to spend money on the game, and that would in-turn make Riot more money.

It is another way to capitalize on the skins and content that are already produced.

I hypothesize that it would increase revenue from the sales that Riot puts on.

By "isnt important," I mean there are other essential things that supersede it.

HalcyonDwellerAug 18, 20171 votes

Ah, you would prioritize other features over this one.

Fair enough.

BoilTheOilAug 19, 20172 votes

I wouldn't think of it being hard to make.

TNHA BaritoneAug 19, 20172 votes

We don't know that. Something as simple as item sets seem was pushed back because things were more important.

It Hertz When IPAug 19, 20171 votes

Steam considered it important enough to add as a feature.

I would also help them do market research. It'd give them a easy to check statistic of which skins are popular and which ones aren't, and help them see which ones are loved but not bought as often to match, signifying the price being potentially too high.

Another great use for the feature, good idea!

Also make those wishlists visible to our in game contacts. There are tons of peopple trying to buy friends and so with skins and with wishlists they would give so much money to riot. I know a case... a friend wanted sg Jinx but got sg Janna. This could have been avoided with a wishlist. Also she got arcade ahri but wanted arcade ezreal

Gosh DarnAug 19, 20172 votes

Tbh, I might actually gift skins to someone if I could view their wishlist.

st0ckholmAug 19, 20171 votes

well, I wouldn't mind getting Shadowfire Kindred as a gift :P

EleanaAug 18, 20171 votes

Actually, like I really like the idea of some sort of wishlist. It could just be another tab on a player's profile page. Maybe one day Riot will add it, but it'll be very low priority if they say they'll add it tbh.

I would hope that the potential for profit that it provides would be a good motivator for them to get the feature done sooner thought!

PaladinNOAug 18, 20171 votes

I'm just keeping such a list locally in an Excel document already. ;)

HalcyonDwellerAug 18, 20171 votes

The majority of users are not as dedicated to it as you are. Having reminders pop up would help them to notice when things they want go on sale, instead of having to look through the announcement just to see if anything on sale looks interesting.

I know, I know. First world problems. But if users are lazy why not make a sale announcement that would cater to their wish-list? It would very likely be profitable!

VoidzillaAug 18, 20171 votes

I've been wanting something like a wish-list in this game for a while now.

Hope a Rioter sees this and passes the idea around it they haven't done so already.

HalcyonDwellerAug 18, 20171 votes

Well we're on the front page for "Hot" posts now, so we're well on our way to getting this noticed by them!
