Riot could you please give Cho Gath the Darius E treatment?

Remember Darius pre rework in that sometimes you could flash away but if he pressed E before you got away you will be pulled back from a screen away?

Cho Gath W is doing the same since his release and it is SUPER obnoxious and is probably why he is such a reliable champion: his W is impossible to fuck up.

Just press W where they were and they will get hit no matter what.

Please give us a response.

It's something we'll almost certainly do at some point, only question is when. It'll likely leave Cho's balance a bit wobbly, depending on whether we just do that which is a sizeable nerf or try and pair it with a compensatory buff. We will be shifting Annie's stun on W/R to checking for targets at end of cast instead of start of cast as part of her mid year changes, will assess whether that's the right time to do the same for Cho or not too.

It is more of a visual error. Annie's W is the exact same. It's AoE with a shitty animation that doesn't really rely what is happening accurately. In Annie's case you actually take damage and get stunned before the animation goes off.

The only noticeable problem (doesn't mean there aren't others, but we won't be able to tell before we fix this one) is for Cho, Annie and old Darius that although the effects are applied after the animation, the targets that will be affected are decided already before it.

Do you think the visual effect is larger than the actual silence AoE? It seems like it's a bit off to me, the W visual effect seems to go farther than the hitbox actually is.

Similar to how Sona's ult visual effect was wider than the actual hitbox before her update. (But in Cho gath's case feral scream's hitbox is simply shorter than the visual effect.)

Does that mean his q hitbox might be updated as well? As it stands sometimes an enemy will clearly be in the circle but not get knocked up. It happens near the edge of the circle but the enemy is still in the circle.

you could counter this balance change by making q more reliable: right now if people walk into the q after its cast but before the spikes erupt they dont get hit. I'd say these 2 changes would counter each other pretty well.
