Why is everyone acting like old Kog was soo perfect?

Old Kog was honestly only picked mid to go AP and abuse his ultimate.

Now reverting Kog's Q and W and leaving ultimate the same with all these newer ADC changes will ruin him because Jinx at this moment does everything that he'll do so much better.

I'll admit that new kog balance wise wasn't perfect, but it was very unique from the other ADCs.

Not true at all, Kog was primarily an ADC even before the rework. In fact, he was quite a good one and got nerfs to his base stats as a result. AP Kog was played but far less often and after the nerfs, he was seldom played in competitive. AP Kog remained viable but was nothing special until 35+ min.

Also, it's quite biased to say he "abused his ultimate" when AP Kog gives up so much to make that ult. worthwhile. Weak early, high mana costs, item dependent, extremely high ramping up mana costs on R, needs level 11+ etc. He was literally played only due to the ult. but his kit (low CC, squishy, slow etc.) and build have so many weaknesses that it makes sense to have that be a strength. I don't think it's abuse at all, that would be like saying Tryndamere abuses split-pushing but really, it's just his forte and he's fairly weak in teamfights as a consequence. AP Kog was weak in everything except his ult.

Yes new Kog'Maw was unique.

Uniquely cancerous.

Kog's play was split about 33/66% between AP and AD.

AP Kog was a hell of a lot of fun to play.

Current Kog'maw is simply press W and hope you outsustain all the damage you get dealt if you are dealt any to win any team fight after 3 items.

Jungle Kog became a thing. and it was a very very dangerous thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBwrGdUxr90 also you could move and shoot, it was just reserved for people that knew the trick or scripters.
