Leaverbuster is a joke

I tell my team "hey I am lagging really bad so I will be right back" No joke, I was gone for less than three minutes. We win game everything is fine until I see "For afk behaviors you will receive leaverbuster" There is no amount of gameplay that could happen in three minutes (this was within the first 10 minutes of the game btw) that could seriously ruin the game for them. I warded for my adc, then i said brb and came RIGHT back. It isn't fair to be given 20 minute leaverbuster for something so minimal. It wasn't reported. There was no way it was because the notification popped up right when the game ended.

3 minutes is too long? Please elaborate on HOW. I got my adc a double kill and didn't want to feed because i was lagging so I do a restart? Are you really that dense?

even if it was not intentional (sometimes it is because people neglect their computers stability) you still afk'd.

I've had the same thing happen to me, and did not get the leaverbuster penalty. I think there must be more to your situation.

I have 0 reasons to lie o.o If I didn't return to the game, I would accept the leaver. If I didn't return within a 5 minute time frame, I may accept the leaver. There isn't a point in lying because it doesn't help my case, in the slightest

I'm not saying you lied. I'm saying perhaps you had small moments of afk/dc in recent games. I think the system checks for leaving over multiple games generally.

At what point of the game did you afk? If it's towards the end, it seems to be more likely to mark a person as a leaver than if it was just a short period early on.

It was seriously within the first 10 minutes. I was lv 5 when my adc was lv 8 when i returned. I was forced to do a remake once because the screen wouldn't load me in when i was at 97%, realizing it was a bug, i get off and reconnect and a remake was already issued.

Weird. I've been reconnecting for probably around 5 minutes in a single game a couple times before (I connect to games sooooo slowly), but I've only ever received a warning about afking. Of course, I apologized when I got back in, so I don't think anyone reported me.

Maybe yours was from a previous game or something. Sorry I can't be more help.
