I've been boosted to Unranked 6, by other unrankeds, and proud of it (disclaimer: not actually ever boosted on any account, Rito).

But seriously I've been called "boosted" repeatedly while I'm unranked... I don't get this sudden new use of this term at all. But people need to stop it

Someone called me this when I was 0 lp bronze V.

I got a laugh out of that, and it made the phrase seem completely meaningless to me. It goes to show you the mentality behind the people who say it.
