...not everything is gonna hold up against the test of time. He does have growing/evolving model and the /fly command noone uses...
But yeh it's just aged out. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you bought it forever ago, you at least had the fanciest skin in the game at the time it was new. Ezreal could need an update as a whole. I mean he doesn't look that bad,but he doesn't look good either.
Though there are many others who need the update more.

It should but riot has said they don't plan on reworking skins unless a champion gets a full update.
you think it's worth only 1300 rp? by that logic, all legendary skins should be brought down to 1300 (if not 975) as well, the current 1300 skins should be brought down to 750, the 975 to 520, and the 750 and 520 should be reduced to 320. if anything pulsefire is worth as much as a legendary skin. however, it also gives you a new icon, and its model still changes whenever he levels his ult (none of the 1300 skins, nor the legendary skins have this feature, except for anything related to Kha'zix). iirc Spirit Guard Udyr and DJ Sona don't have quotes when they buy items either, so that's not a valid argument. DJ Sona doesn't have the animation on kill that Pulsefire and Spirit Guard do, and Spirit guard is the only one of the 3 that has special quotes for killing certain champs/monsters.
some could say DJ Sona is a rip-off as well, since the only feature she has that Pulsefire doesn't is her music, and if you mute your game she doesn't even have that. (granted, muting your game lowers the value of all legendary and ultimate skins in general, but that's besides the point)
disclaimer: i am not saying it shouldn't be updated, i am just voicing why saying it should be lowered to only 1300 is an overreaction
Pulsefire was THE first ultimate skin, and it came out years ago. Naturally, it's going to be sub-par to current ones because technology and graphics and standards for skins have gone up since then. Item quotes and specific taunts and such for skins is actually very new, being just added to skins this year. They can't alter the price because they announced when they released Ultimates that they're always going to be locked price points. Furthermore, Ezreal needs more work than this skin. It's easier to set the VGU team on updating his entire skin line and then directly moving into essentially making a brand new ultimate skin than it is to do it piece by piece.
If they don't update it they should probably lower the price a bit. Maybe at a unique price tier.
Well, you never know. Human Ryze went from worst skin to best skin in the rework and it isn't even for sale any more.

There are two sides to this argument.
One is that Riot should update the skin since it's extremely unique and isn't anything like other skins since its an Ultimate. It pales in comparison to current Epic skins, let alone Legendary.
The other is the skin shouldn't be revamped. You get what you paid for, and what you paid for back when it came out was the best skin for its time. You should have known full well at the time of purchase that future skins would look as good if not better than PFE, and the payment was a calculated sacrifice for the skin as it was during release.
Personally, I'm torn between the two. While I don't think it should get a remake, I can completely understand if Riot decides to polish/completely redo PFE.
Updating just that skin alone with Ez would waste too many resources and would have to be done again if he gets reworked. Better to just wait until he gets an update that requires new animations.
He's the Oldest ultimate skin to date and since it's release, Riot has been able to do a lot more with skins, including adding unique interactions for 1350 RP skins (
<_<), unique homeguard animations, huge particle changes, model changes on a larger scale than Pulsfire's evolving model and updated multiple skins that are older than Pulsefire, giving them new bells and whistles in the process. I do believe it's about time to update it.
Yeah, that way he stops getting all the cheap garbage skins. meanwhile Mundo gets a more expensive skin.
Ezreal just needs an as a whole. His kit is okay, but his model... omg. He looks so badly dated, and could really use some massive clean up.
