Blade of the Ruined King has the same problem DFG had

It does everything

DFG was an item which gave a ton of AP, burst damage, tank busting, sustained damage (because 10% cdr), and was good vs everything and good on basically all mages

Bork does the same thing for autoattackers, if you're a champion who deals a large portion of their damage as autoattacks Bork is never going to be a bad buy on you, whether you're a bruiser/assassin/ranged ad/melee ad

Eeeexcept BotRK doesn't allow champions to assassinate anyone in 1-2 seconds flat. DFG on any bursty assassin was giving them the option to 100 to 0 any squishies (it was primarily used for squishies, not tanks). While BotRK's is sustained damage and not burst.

The purposes of the items are completely different on completely different types of champions.

Sated + Bork = burst - you will lose half hp in 1 proc of the sated

Far from that. If I remember correctly it's 5% each hit, so 10% max health minus armor. I get your point, but that isn't a BotRK problem, that's a Sated Devourer problem.

8% current health per hit, before armor.

3 hits rapidly is about 23% of their current health, excluding what other on-hit effects you have. (before defense, but still)

That calculated math though.

Blade of the Ruined King is more cancerous than DFG ever was, although their purposes werent too similar.

That's not actually why it was nerfed and it wasn't good on "basically all mages".

It was overpowered because of it's ability to push already bursty champions over the edge.

Not the same problem, but BotRK is a bit of a problem. Currently, it's the strongest non-crit damage option in the game.

DFG wasn't problematic because it was the strongest AP item; it was a problem because it was specifically making burst damage far stronger than necessary.
