Talkin' bout Zyra & her passive

Just a question and, assuming it's not a stupid question, a thought. Does her passive make sense? It seems to be like something that should go on a bruiser, not a flimsy support mage. I guess I'm looking at it like this, when is Zyra trading to the point that her passive makes a difference?

Even if we kept it the same concept, could we at least make it "death bloom-y" and leave a poison cloud on the map until resurrection? At least then they have some incentive not to target her immediately. I don't know, I think it's a great passive for another champion.

Zyra's passive is in a situation where it's basically just accessory to her power budget. Her budget is entirely taken up by the rest of her abilities, but she still needs a passive. So, they gave her this. It's not amazing, but it's something.

The rest of her abilities are pretty lackluster after the nerfs when she went support though. Her E is easily dodged, and her R is unlikely to knock anyone up unless they were already cc'd or in the middle of a teamfight/jungle and can't leave in time. Without those, her Q + W are pretty mediocre poking tools.

If you end up dead after fighting an enemy and they have pretty low health, that passive can easily be you getting revenge on them when they don't pay attention. It's happened to me a few times, and Zyra's one of the few champs I can play that no one ever accuses me of feeding with when I've died a lot. But I can understand where you are coming from with this.

I main Zyra and honestly i feel like they could give her a better passive. I mean kog maw's is a million times stronger and he can move around, like come on. I feel like they should really give her something not so iffy. It may hit, it may not, it has been known to be a little buggy. Like sometimes there is a massive delay, some times there is not. It could be stronger, it could be better.
