What if we could combine all the regions?

I know what you're gonna say. "B-B-BUH, MY PING!!!!" I know. But what if we all had just one singular account, but could freely choose which server you'd want to play in? So maybe if your annoying British friend wanted to bug you into playing some ARAM with him, you could just say, "Sure!" switch to the EUW servers and enjoy your 150 ping game.

Do you have any idea how much potential income riot would lose if they did that? LD

I think OP just wants the account transfer to be free according to the content of OP. Though the title is suggesting a mega server for the game.

Even though the first two sentences say, "It's not." Damn, these boards.

The big problem with this idea is the cluster fuck that is the league servers in China and Korea. One area has like 17 different servers with some of them gated by "skill level" and flagrant openly admitted usage of third party programs and boosting. The other requires you to basically be living and working there to even make a account.

This is a big Citation needed, because it smells like bs. Especially the part where you claimed " flagrant openly admitted usage of third party programs and boosting".

I mean, there are tons of bots (which is still making headlines), elo boosters/boostees, cheaters, and my fav, the DDoS spams a little bit earlier, on non-Garena servers, and there are tons of ads promoting them everywhere too as well as the amount of users using those "services". I mean, if you just type "lol mmr explained" into google, one of the first results should be an online boosting service called Boosteria; it's that bad. Does that mean Riot "flagrant openly admitted usage of third party programs and boosting"? Of course not.

Also Korean servers is hosted by Riot too, so idk why you're singling them out.

...........

Though requiring citizenship is at least true. That is done to prevent smurfing, and swapping accounts when you're banned so that you're more likely to behave on your accounts.

Citation is necessary if you're a reporter or college but if you can read chinese I'll humor you. This is one of the most widely used programs for league in China and has been supported by Tencent (Hint they own riot)

I believe it still has jungle timers, inhibitor timers, and ult timers which was what was removed from curse voice for being a unfair advantage. As for elo boosting just look up 代练 and some higher ranking Chinese streams where they've openly talked about it.

Now you're just playing on words. You know when we talk about "3rd party programs", we generally refer to cheats and hacks right?

That example there is no different to Riot allowing champ VO swapper and previously the Curse voice and custom skins, just looser here where it allows OP.GG being integrated into the game, which let's be real, it is different, but certainly not allowing or encouraging the damaging of game balance as per implied.

............

As for boosting, let me give you an article

https://kknews.cc/game/mga989g.html

What is it about? It's about a player claiming "I got falsely banned" before being found that they were boosted and thus got what the article put it, "slapped in the face".

............

Now that sounds similar doesn't it. Oh yeah, NA is kinda like that too. Oh yeah non-Garena servers still have tons of boosting and cheating issues as well, and often promoted by streamers too (I mean, who was that pro that got banned for boosting the other day do you remember?). Then you think about it more, oh yeah, the boosters always claim that they never get banned as well too. Oh yeah the cheats always spread the cheat programs and claim that it never gets banned too. And then a bit more, oh yeah, Riot does NOT tolerate any of it anyway.

Similarly, it's also clear that Tencent isn't okay with them either.

So what does all this mean? Nothing. It merely shows what you want to see and believe in.

According to Riot's own actions keeping track of those timers is indeed a forbidden third party program against the terms of service. Using something similar in NA to slightly ease the mental burden can result in your account getting a permaban just the same as scripting yet the parent company that owns riot is supporting such a thing.

As for the servers all of them are applicable. The idea behind one account being able to go to any league of legends servers includes "non-Garena".

As for bias it probably does exist in my case since the general experience I've had on online games is that generally China is notorious for the amount of gold farmers, boosters, and real world trading it provides in games.

Riot removed Curse and added in their own jungle timers. So it's not like we don't have it. Similarly, Riot also added their own ulti timer in the form of green lightbulbs and CD pinging. Ward timer is always there, you just need to left click the ward to see it, you can also guess it from a graphical bar on the ward though it's not as precise but you can still make a pretty good guess anyway.

So that add-on for all its worth, is just LoLKing and OP.GG.

You're just driving the age-old stereotype.

Gold famers, maybe. Boosting and real world trading? Clearly you've never seen how bad our boosting issues are and how stupid things like Steam marketplaces or even Diablo2 blackmarket got out of hand (D3 as well, before they finally removed the stupid real money auction house). But nope, better blame China.

Hell, to draw a parallel, Riot sued their biggest hacking and botting service the other day, it was a company founded by 3 Germans with a host company in South America. Not Chinese, what a shocker it is.
