know why i came from back from HotS to league?
they both have similar problems right now. one teamfight ends a game after a certain point (usually 15 minutes in hots, and 20-25 minutes in league)
currently burst meta in both games is getting way too much love because it makes E$ports looks cool
the difference though? the rank systems.
in hots, you can maintain a 50% winrate and still drop 10 ranks. know why? because the way it works, you get winstreaks and losing streaks fairly often.
you win 5, lose 6, and suddenly not only is all the progress you made in ranks cancelled out, you're 2-3 ranks lower than where you started to begin with.
i know if i won 5 straight in league, then lost 6 straight, it would probably drop me one division and maybe 15-30 lp give or take.
in hots, most people are losing more and winning less rank points for each respective win/loss.
Tl;DR HotS is a joke, and is still in beta testing 8 months after the official release of the game. League beats it because A:it still rewards personal skill B:you don't regularly see people slide from gold to bronze in the course of a few days, and B: has a balance team that is much more active than blizzard's, that doesn't just focus on releasing extremely broken cash grabby champions instead of fixing the actual problems the game has.
