@Riot can you just appreciate that some ad's are resident sleeper and others are brainless

No one likes watching qt spam ezreal with cull, no one likes playing or playing against miss fortune, and imo corkie is less likable than ezreal. There are a few ad's with fun and exciting gameplay that isnt one dimensional.

Ashe was a big one, but you nerfed her waaaaay too many times. I really dont understand why you decided to nerf her the way you did. You stole her late game and dueling potential, but left her laning phase alone. Dont understand that. You took a champion that had two or three dimensions and you made her all about her fucking arrow. Which you also nerfed.

Youve left Draven in the same trash can you put his OG passive in.

You decided lucian was too good of a lane bully even though miss fortune is worse from a gameplay standpoint. I know lucian is broken. His kit is full-you-know-what. Its worse than Ahri's kit for balance. But its your fault for fucking up his rework. Not ours.

You did a good job with Jhin but I dont understand why you cant give us some balanced adc's that can carry games. You did an entire preseason around the AD role and yea. Luciian and graves have different niches now. Thats the only result of the ENTIRE AD REWORK. WOW BIG FUCKING FAIL.

the entire design concept of marksmen is flawed. people just have a boner for the ranged carry archetype, but realistically its one of the most problematic classes in this game.

they are binary as hell. a marksman whos working as intended is opressive and doesnt have much counterplay. he deals damage without much to answer or protect from this damage from a safe distance, and from behind of the peel of a support. or he just straight up overwhelms his opponents and facetanks them with lifesteal. when he fails at doing what he wants to do, he is usually entirely useless and blows up before he can make himself useful.

theyre feast or famine on top of that. always only relevant when theyre way ahead, and suck dick when behind.

at the same time a team is reliant on his marksman performing well if they want to have a chance at winning the game. too much of a teams power is in one single person.

when marksman are balanced with other classes, when it comes to team damage, their mains usually come crying that they cant solo carry games and are mainly good at pushing turrets and taking objectives, which is probably the most fucking important job you can have in this game. they simply want too much.

the ranged carry archetype exists out of tradition in these sort of games. that doesnt mean its balanced or even good for this game.

" which is probably the most fucking important job you can have in this game. they simply want too much."-Its also a job you cant have talent or skill at. So its impossible to be better than you opposing adc at the only thing that they still do.

My thinking is that if you couldnt build crit and attack speed at the same time, you might be able to balance them and make them decent to play.

all champions might become opressive when fed and ahead.

but with marksmen there is never an in between like with other champions. there is no scenario in which a marksman isnt either compeltely fucking useless or is so strong that he has almost no counterplay.

without even discussing if a marksman is fed or behind. whenever hes working "properly", it means at the same time that he deals a gigantic amount of damage from behind a wall of peel, without his opponent being able to fight back. its not just their best case scenario but their nomal working scenario relies on having an unfair advantage over their opponent. if they dont have this advantage, they suck dick.

if the opponent gets the opportunity to fight a marksman it usually means the marksman dies without having any impact at all.

binary. they suffer from the fundamental design issue of being glass cannons. next to a bunch of other issues.

like being designed as lategame carries who are strong against everyone as soon as the game hits a certain stage, when their early game is only actually weak against most matchups but still strong against a lot of champions.

or being completely feast or famine. they usually either get far ahead and snowball or fall behind and are shit for most of the game.

Except the current state of the game is that all champions appear oppressive at all times to the adc, unless the adc is fed. Its not the other way around as you put it.

Its not that the adc is so oppressive. Its that the adc is oppressed. Until it is fed, at which time the game easily comes to an end. Same as other types of champion.

its more like the adc is a shitty design concept being designed as a glass cannon who only has an impact on fights, when he regularly gets an advantage the opponent cant play around (aka reliable kiting). or straight up stat checks his opponent.

mages kit too. they are a lot better at doing it too.

only very few of them like annie. or sustained damage mages like cassiopeia or azir. since most mages play around their abilities, they have more inherent counterplay in their kits.

be it more definied windows of weakness due to their longer ability cooldowns, or skillshots that are possible to dodge.

as far as the windows of weakness and cooldowns, thats exactly how they kite. Blow cooldowns, leave combat. ReEnter Combat. Sure there is a window where they cant deal dmg, but retaliation during that window is nearly impossible. You cant deal dmg back to them. And then there is the ever present disengage spell. Such as syndra's.

Contrast that with the adc, whos window is open while they are dealing dmg and its open for as long as they deal dmg, and they wont deal appreciable dmg unless they are constantly dealing dmg. If you wont admit that adcs have stronger weaknesses than mages in the current state of the game, then you are not worth talking to. I just played against a 4 item mundo with my 4 item ashe. His auto attacks dealt more than twice the dmg of my auto attacks with infinity edge, mortal reminder, zeal item, and BORK! I was dealing 80 dmg per auto. He was dealing over 180. Im not saying that syndra would have been able to kill him. She wouldnt have. But I do think it would have been 10X more difficult for mundo to start chaining cleavers and slows on her because she doesnt have to sacrifice any of her dps to kite or position.

In fact, syndra should really just position so that she can ignore the mundo and thats what mages are really good at. Having the range and burst dmg such that it is more effective to ignore the tanks as much as possible and target squishies. Thats not a window of opportunity. Thats a lack of interaction. They also clear waves before you can get under tower. I admit to carrying games through that dynamic alone with viktor. All i did was clear waves before enemy could siege and they stopped grouping. Which allowed my team to catch up and win. Thats a denial of interaction.

As far as your complaint that adcs dont have windows. Well, they are dps champions. That means that their dmg is broad with respect to time. However, I wouldnt be opposed to giving my immobile adc's something like ashe q, which is re balanced to give "windows" of increased or decreased dps. As long as their ability to dps is net INCREASED. Remember my game against mundo? How is it that a defensive champion out dps an offensive champion under equal item constraint? And by a HUGE margin. It would have taken more than 30 auto attacks to kill him, but it took him only five instances of dmg to kill me.

Clearly mundo isnt overpowered. Im not saying that. I am saying that the things he does dont really make sense in this game and yea he takes way too long to kill. You want to argue adc is broken, but the ranged auto attacks have a very SENSIBLE role in the game. The only sense that mundo makes is that it is strictly impossible to kill him in 5-15 seconds and he will absolutely kill you in less than 5 seconds, if GIVEN the opportunity. That is, if you GIVE him that opportunity. He also facechecks bushes. Nice.

I think that the only thing that is good about being adc is that with some, getting fed makes it very easy and straightforward to end the game. Seems to me that every champion should be able to end the game with roughly equal facility. Mundo doesnt have a way of doing that nearly as well, i suppose. Thats why he is broken, overpowered, and still weak as hell, I suppose. That doesnt have a thing to do with the ADC class, however. It has to do with the fact that this is a siege game vs ranged objectives.

If you ask me, and ive been saying this for a long time, tanks need to have some ability to defend towers. Right now, its the mages defending towers via waveclear, adcs destroying towers, tanks facecheck everything, be it teamfights or bushes or unwarded areas (which does actually make sense), and supports use the little ghosties, deward shit, and frustrate their opponents. Also, Zyra does a fuck ton as support. Thats the meta. Its quite lame in some respects.

Im sorry tanks dont have a better role for you. In my opinion, they shouldnt be running forward trying to deal dmg. Now, they should be holding ground, dealing dmg. Let the bruisers run forward. The tanks could hold them back. That would be a pretty decent role. And secondarily they would have some waveclear to defend towers after a fight if they survive. Not primary waveclear like victor, but something. I wouldnt be opposed to that. But I am opposed to an unkillable monster running into my team with zero fucks given. Its balanced at the moment. Mundo clearly isnt overpowered, but its not good gameplay. Lethal dmg + unkillable defense is not a gameplay enhancing idea.

there was a time when playing adc was unique. now its yet again the era of... vayne with 51% winrate overboard. Mechanic extensive to the extreme, and if some damn youtuber makes this public soloque in preseason will be full of them with those buffs.

Why do we need to go back where we started eh. yeah, and this time its without kalista, so we are one adc short from scratch.

Woook3r1 votes

i dont undersstand what you are saying

pretty much vayne vs a jinx/mf/ez every single game.
