If you don't play well, the don't play ranked

There has been a problem lately that I have been seeing in my games, my boyfriend's, and others. Multiple people play ranked but don't play well at all, and end up making the good players on the team angry because they are losing points because they fed. I have lost two ranked games in a row now because 1) multiple people were awful at the roles they played and fed the hell out of their enemy laners, and 2) they would not listen to us telling them to group up and stop feeding or any helpful advice we tried to give them. I just got to Bronze 3 last week, got up to 49 pts, and am down to 0 now because of these kinds of people. I'm trying to advance as far as I can and so is my bf who I duo with before next Wednesday, and we can't when people like this are in ranked.

So if you are one of these people, go back to normals. Learn the in and outs of every role, of the champions you prefer. Learn to counter play against the ones that should beat you and be able to beat them instead. Learn to listen to the jungler or helpful laner, follow up on teamfights, save your ADC at all costs, fight for dragon, ward your lanes and bushes. Don't rage.

If you can play well, try ranked. Stay out of it if you can't, as you well ruin the games for people that actually are trying to win and actually play well.

i think YOU should stop playing ranked all together. if you can't handle other players then you have no place in ranked

Excuse me? Stop it. I am playing well but it's hard to carry a game as Morgana mid when Sion keeps dying to Malphite top, and runs in without us ready and dies 5 v 1, and Trist and Annie can't do shit so they die to Soraka-Draven bot. Rammus is trying to do everything he can including trying to steal dragon and baron but dies in the process, and I'm the only one that is doing alright. My games are like that almost every time.

I'm just trying to help out other people, cause if some see this and actually listen, who actually stop playing ranked and focus on getting better, then matchups will be better too.

How are people supposed to improve then?

Yeah sure but there is some things that you only learn by playing ranked just accept the fact you dont win every game and sometimes you will lose regardless how well you play its just how team games work

Definitely not true. i have watched a lot of videos for the particular role that i play and ranked experience didn't help me. I learned that from watching people play this role and give comments to improve this role. There's no excuse really. Ranked should only be played when you are confident in yourself to play your role. If you're not then you should be improving by playing normal games or watching some videos on that role. Basically ranked are for the more experienced players.

Yes there are things that you cant learn by just playing or not very well at least, but Ranked is just a lot harder in general because people care for the most part so things you can get away with in norms will get punished in ranked and sometimes you dont learn that until you play someone who is good enough to do just that so you could play a whole bucnh of norms but the competition is not the same so you que up for ranked and can still get rekt

I think the bigger issue is that if you get stuck in a role and have absolutely no idea what you're doing, dodge. Don't go in, do terribly, then say "Well I wanted to play mid, so..." A 3 LP loss is less than an 18 LP loss and the chances that your team will be able to hard carry you are not high.

Luckily the problem of "first time top lane" people will be less next season with their new role selection system.

I know all the roles. Dodging is not good for me because I still lose as much LP as if I had a loss. I was in ranked queue one time, my computer lagged out therefore counting me as dodging, and I lost 20 LP. It's compete bs.

This is why matchmaking divides people by MMR and there are ranks...

This has to be a troll thread. The whole point of ranked is to split players by their skill. Which means if you don't play well you'll be in lower tiers, if you play well you'll be in higher.

I have been playing well. My first ranked game tonight I was Morgana mid and had the only positive score on the team as the rest fed. Same thing just happened next game. It's the matchmaking that can fuck us up, but also a lot of people that just don't play well period go in ranked when they shouldn't be.

It usually isn't that the players are incredibly bad for their division, but it's that sometimes people lose. They just don't play as well as the enemy and lose, it has nothing to do with being terrible for their rank. Playing ranked with people who play to their best is one of the only ways to really improve.
