So I was annoyed at how Ahri's were shitting on me when I was Zilean since they'd push the wave and force me to miss a bunch of CS under turret. Thus, I tried a more waveclear oriented mid with Ziggs. Same issue but this time I don't miss CS under turret. Why is Ahri allowed such good waveclear?
Because she is riot's Cash cow fox. She has to be favored or nerdy boys will not be happy. Also some poor taste having gals too.

Ahri is pretty well known for having a very garbage level 1-3.
If you're being shoved in by her it's because you're not pointing properly to contest her and aren't playing correctly against her.
Ahri OTPS typically put two points into Q to shove whiich gives them a slight edge in wave clear because otherwise she does very little damage. To solve this issue all Ziggs needs to do is put two points into Q. You won't have W for gank but if you take ghost/flash you don't really need W till 4 anyways.
The remedy for this is to stop playing skilless brainfuck champs like 
etc.
Because all mages normally have good waveclear. The only difference is since you have longer range as Ziggs, you have safer waveclear. This is important later in the game, but early game, your wave clear power is less. For the second part, I also don't know how you were wave clearing, so I don't know if you were doing it wrong or right. Ahri's is simple because she just walks up to wave, and hits both through proper positioning.
Ziggs is more complex, because you need to lead the wave through your minefield, not just spam Q.
That's not even true. If you're using your spells you out push Ahri, pre 9 she needs 2 q's to clear a wave when Q has a cooldown of around 5 seconds and her mana can not keep up. Post 9 + some AP she can one shot the caster minions but you've still got to use other spells to clear the meele. At every stage you can out push more efficiently and Ziggs has less mana issues.
She would be utterly useless if she couldn't clear a wave in 2 or 1 Q's

If you are getting out pushed by an Ahri as ziggs, then it's you that's bad and not the champion. Stop making excuses for your own shortcomings. Ziggs wave clear is better then Ahri's bar none.
They nerfed her waveclear before and ahri players made a big stink about it.
Hmm, it may be because she takes adcs runes with cdr? She has some really smooth slender autos, and it helps a ton with cheesing first blood,pushing, last hitting,poking, and practically early game is dominated by autos unless your 
like hitting your whole q chunks half their hp lvl1.
