Am I the only one who doesn't hate dynamic que?
I've never once had a moment where I said 'Man this situation sucks and it's all dynamic ques fault.' What is everyones gripe about it?

My gripe with it falls under two things:
I feel like the value of your individual ranking is reduced because people say "oh this is a game mode where you can queue up to 5 people".
Elo boosting seems to be a much bigger issue this season
At the end of the day, i'm still going to play whatever's available. My opinion doesn't mean anything to riot.
Because ranked becomes less about individual skill and more about how good your team is, which seems pretty unfair to those who don't have anyone to queue up with. On top of that a team of five is likely to have much better communication than a team of five randoms - another disadvantage to solo players.
What I wish they would do is just bring back solo queue and leave dynamic queue in normals.
It inherently creates flawed matchmaking.
Nah, you're not. I don't see the problem with it either
I'm enjoying it so far. Been playing solo and everything, and I've even been getting top and mid fairly frequently despite having 'fill' set as my primary.
I enjoy it greatly!
No, you just have to remember forums to just about anything will very rarely be used for positive responses. The average person does not think it is worth the time to express on forums they are enjoying something, where as if people are unhappy or discontent with something it is worth their time complaining. You'll always see countless complaints even if they are a minority.
Only two real problems I have with it.
If I choose my champion and the enemy team sees my choice, but someone leaves and then we re-select all over again, the enemy team knows what champion to counter me or bans my champion.
Trying to play Support is annoying; I can't secondary Support like I want to because then I'd never get top, so I have to consciously consent to play Support rather then it being a once in awhile thing, so I end up going Top Primary and Middle Secondary quite often because I don't want to get Support every time. This sucks, because I like playing Braum and more recently, Sion Support.
That first one is a potential problem in all draft modes, not something exclusive to Dynamic Queue.
Dynamic queue is the only draft mode, though. Unless you're playing customs, of course, but I don't think it's really necessary to mention.
draft normals dummeh, and jorick could of meant draft modes in all mobas
Normal draft is also Dynamic Queue.
I wasn't intentionally referring to other mobas, but yeah, any game with any sort of character picking mode that allows the enemy team to see your picks and then re-matches you with those enemies after a dodge could allow this form of shenanigans.
I meant that it was a silly issue to bring up as far as specifically disliking Dynamic Queue goes because it's been a tiny problem going back many seasons. Draft mode will always have this as a rare annoyance unless the matchmaking system was geared to intentionally throw you into an entirely new set of people if someone else dodges, but that would be dumb and increase overall queue times. Didn't intend for it to sound like I was saying there were other kinds of draft queues in LoL right now.
Although if they do actually add solo queue again this potential problem would exist there as well, so there's that.
Believe me or not, but this issue was also in SoloQ.
I often told my team what the picks were in last champion select and that they'll be picked again and I usually was right in 60-80% seriously
About supports, the only fix I, rather-non-support plyer, see is making playing supports "cooler". Or at least almost equal to other laners in gold/level/importance.
This gonna be rough, but IMO(!!!) supports should be changed into mages/tanks/whatever. In which case mid belongs to assassins/mobile mages. Top for bruiser-tanks, while bottom for ADCs and mages (or support-tanks). Ofc we'd need to change gold income from minions, to be less obstructing, but in the end it'd make "support" role very, very interesting :)
So far we DO have this ADC + mage in botlane, but those mages are working only because of their CC (annie), inflated stats (Zyra) or fixed damage (Brand)
I miss being able to flex when I was first pick. Like I'd pick Kayle or Quinn or even Galio and say ok guys, I can go top, mid, or jungle. Then let my team fill two of those three roles and play whichever was left. Really would throw off the other team in champ select too.
I love it, i always get what i want
I like the Dynamic Queue. The only problem is that I don't have enough friends to play with me
I like it. 7/10, needs a FOV slider.
You're not the only one.
But at least here, the very vocal people are the ones upset by it.
The complaints tend to stew down to: Premades are crap, fill = support/ support secondary = support, queue timers now suck if you're not a support.
The premades thing is messy because the community has been bitching about it both ways since the dawn of solo queue. You've always had the camp that says even allowing duo's is toxic. And you've always had the camp that says any ranking system where you have no control over your allies, and puts you as one person of a random team is inherently flawed. And some hypocritical people are in both camps at the same time. The current system is just an exacerbation on the earlier arguments. (and Riot wants you to play with friends, but knows you don't always have 4 of them who are reasonably close in skill, and so has wanted the option to play with at least one friend forever, despite that not being the most balanced way of dealing with it.
The support issues are basically LoL's version of WoW's LFD issues. (It's also another feature that part of the community begged for, and part of the community told those begging would result in long queue timers, but Riot did it anyway)
Gang mentality of the people i'm queued with. Thats just an issue of the community as a whole though and not as much dynamic queue.
There is nothing wrong with playing friends etc, but ranked is a mode to show personal gains and success, not you and your premades. Inherently this creates a bad competitive environment at my elo. For example, I solo carried myself to diamond, as a result I know I deserve this elo. However, someone who has been pretty much boosted by his premades is going to get shit on in diamond, because inherently he should be much lower, it basically boosts people to an inflated mmr.
Yeah, there's nothing wrong with dynamic. I just played a solo game vs a diamond 2 jungler and I'm in plat 4. Is that normal ? All because he was premade with someone. I didn't care, I won my lane but my jungle got buttfucked and we lost the game because that d2 jungler outshined my jungler in every way. Guess what, if I played in pure solo q, this kind of shit would NEVER happen, because MMR wouldn't be fucked up by premades. And it's awesome to know when youre playing solo that there are people on the other team with skype playing in the same RANKING LADDER as you.
I don't hate it.
I hate that this is the only option (Blind pick should be deleted once and for all).
