A Peace Treaty in the Top Lane

On another account, I decided to play Aftershock Malphite Top because they picked Zed mid. The enemy toplaner chose Gangplank with Klepto. This was a ranked Silver 1/Gold 4 game

I put in chat "Hey GP"

"Want to make a peace deal?"

And he agreed that we would not attack eachother all lane. We proxied eachothers waves beyond eachother in lane and spam cancelled auto's against eachother. He auto'd me once.

"Ur pushing ur luck buddy >:("

I avoided his junglers ganks but my jungler got a gank off on him. I was there. I stood still as they fought it out. The contract was signed, and could not be broken. He lucked out and killed my jungler with 50hp left. I couldn't troll, so I pressed Q on GP and went to farming

He was mad. After we got back to lane I fought him under his tower and didn't win. With the debt of 300 gold repaid, we went back to farming

The whole time I stacked armour and late game I was unkillable. Master Yi, Zed, Gangplank and MF tried in vain to kill me one fight. Twitch got a pentakill. The next fight he got a quadrakill and we ended the game.

GP got next to no Klepto gold, but probably thought he would out scale me. He was wrong in this case.

So never forget, if a matchup is hard, ask for peace, gamble your ability to be more useful late game, because the enemy toplaner just might accept

My build in the end was: item 1054 item 3075 item 3047 item 3109 item 2053 item 2055

Sadly, this is one of those cases where it counts as trolling, but the riot's system will never punish people for it because it can't detect it.

The majority opinion is that ranked is "supposed" to be "for playing the game optimally" and for "taking it seriously". There are a ton of people who would look at this and go "Why didn't you do this in a normal draft?" I would usually be inclined to agree, but ranked has become such a joke that I can't take seriously anymore that I see this and all I can think is "heh".

I spared my enemy top laner Irelia is when she hid into bush I felt so bad I basically deconstructed her in the whole fight process (I was at half she was at low hp last hit) I warded and put a cat smile face then said "just recall" she took the execute to tower instead and said thanks. I overcame that kill urge it made me proud. See I maybe a nasus player i can still show mercy if they are really crushed on lane. Well if they are flaming rude that's a different story.

Have you ever considered that that might be the reason why NA soloq has become a joke in the first place? People not taking it seriously. Riot can't fix that. Only the community can.

It can't be pegged entirely on the community. Balance has been an absolute joke as of the last few seasons, matchmaking is...well, it's not even really matchmaking, is it? it doesn't match players correctly based on skill or rank.

Changing players' outlook on ranked starts at home, here.

It really hasn't, outside of champions like irelia and akali ofc.

Well, riot should have reverted everyone's mmr to where it was at the end of preseason 9 and all problems would have been avoided. They didn't do that though sadly but it will get better over time as people play and return to where they belong.

They seriously need to make the visual rank to actually match the mmr imo. The visual ranks are pointless but it makes it almost impossible for players to judge whether or not the matchmaking is fair and that might be the reason why this flaw exists.

item 1054 item 3075 item 3047 item 3109 item 2053 This was the build they couldn't beat???

Do they know item 3035 exist?? You only have 500 extra HP. Buying item 3036 will shred you. You get + 170 Armor +20 From item 3109. Let's say you are at ~230 with out passive. You drop to 150 Armor ( -80.5). Also item 3071 if MF buys that 24% more (-55.2) You'd have 100 Armor and 500 HP.

top lane is generally a stalemate decided by jungler intervention anyways.

I mean I always got at least 3 with my R, so I get aftershock and conditioning, I had 901 armour for a sec that game

And twitch heals me so... it all worked out
