If Lux, at a 52% winrate, can get a buff
Then there's no reason you can't buff Nasus at a 49% winrate when there's no reason to play him anymore because of how hard you've nerfed him in the past without a single compensation.

You mean the one nerf he has has since before his rework?
"Wither range reduced to 600 from 700 to keep you from slow-sniping ADC's"?
Oh yeah. So hard. Definitely worse than what others have had it (coughSyndracoughcoughAzircough).

Syndra has been good and viable competitively and brings way more to a team than Nasus does, not to mention Nasus has never been reworked.
They can remove chain withering by making its CD flat at 13-14 seconds so with 40% CDR, it has a 8-9 second cooldown and in exchange buff it's range to 700 and reduce it's mana cost slightly and have it grant him a small MS boost.
Sorry, "visually updated" (not that many knew he existed for a while because his model was ugly as hell).
Syndra has dick damage and one long-range stun that was bugged for the better half of her existence. She was good once, saw maybe a few games competitively, and was promptly nerfed to being the most lackluster mage in the game bar none. There are still champs worse than her (RIP Kass), but she is nowhere near viable right now because they nerfed basically the only thing she had going for her - good base damage that could see her into a strong midgame before getting thwomped by anybody capable of jumping directly on top of her dick. Now she has ass base damage and still has some of the worst ability scaling in the game while having only her ult being targeted (and so easily dodged by Zhonya's or untargetables that it's painful to watch). Unless you're looking solely at her long range stun (which still occasionally just doesn't), Syndra is in a terrible spot.
I would understand if you said that Azir was viable competitively because he is - but he's also now got the borderline worst earlygame in the history of League now. Unless your team is dedicated to playing the "Get Azir to Lategame" cause, he's not doing much of anything.
This is even ignoring the fact you want to buff Nasus which, no offense, is the definitive example of a stagnant toplane - it's a champ meant to farm and farm and farm some more and you can either sit there top with him for the better part of a century or you have to run your ass back up there every few minutes to stop him from taking your tower again. It's the entire problem with the game where he makes top a little island that is his and his team is shafted until he deems it necessary to reach out.
Worse than Vlad?
Vlad doesn't just sit and farm - he just basically never backs if he's winning because of his sustain. You will see a Vlad leave his lane all the time - the amount of times you'll see a Nasus leave it early are 1 in 50.
all champs should be buffed until every champ has a 100% win rate. because we are all special and everyone deserves to be op.
ok...lets break the logic down for a sec....lux had a 52% win rate and was buffed. lets assume this is true (we dont have information about what skill level we are speakign about or if these are all lux mains or whatever...lets jsut assume it was irrelevant) Nasus has a 49% win rate and was not buffed.
Ergo win rate % is not the only factor that the balancing team uses to determine if a champ should be buffed.
Ergo asking for a nasus buff based on the win rate % is pointless.
Revert the Frozen heart nerf or at least make it back to its original price. Its way to expensive. Up his base Armor a little. And maybe lower his mana cost on W or E because he gets punished in lane for using them and suddenly he is oom for wanting to fight/defend himself.
Nasus is one of those champions that you don't want to be buffed. If he was any good he would be ridiculously strong.
People wanna go back to like what, season 2?
Y'know... enough champions are honestly hated on the boards (in that literally all of them are) that I don't feel out of line saying this anymore: I really don't care if Nasus ever gets any buffs as long as he's viable in solo queue. He's completely and utterly boring to play against, and if you can't outright kick him out of lane then he probably won't ever leave it until he deigns to do so himself.
There are many champions I hate in this game, but Nasus somehow manages to top the list even above Vayne for me right now.

I don't want his lane phase buffed, just his teamfight slightly buffed. Right now, the biggest issue is getting farmed on Nasus only to become a lame split pusher. I would honestly have no issues if they removed his bonus Q damage applying to turrets if they gave him teamfight buffs in exchange.
I should be careful though, it might end up looking like this
"We removed nasus' Q damage from applying on structures but in exchange we've buffed his base MS by 2. We feel this change will separate the good Nasus players from the great ones."
Given the nature of his kit, the results of making him any good at teamfighting would be likely be a net buff to his laning anyway.
Passive - Lifesteal, which is mostly good for laning and somewhat good in duels; not as important in teamfights unless you can consistently land hits. Q - on-hit enhancement with no secondary effect aside from infinite* scaling, with a fairly short cooldown W - attack speed and movement speed slow against a single target E - AoE armor shred, moderate nuke with some AoE damage. R - AoE magic %hp damage that funnels the AoE damage portion into additional attack damage.
(*infinite in terms of potential, not in terms of practical usage in a realistic game setting.)
The only ways, with that kit, to make him better at teamfights are likely to include mass changing of ability effects, or giving him completely new mechanics. His kit allows him to do enormous amounts of damage later while being extremely resilient, but slow himself and susceptible to peel. That's his trade-off. That's his thing. He's even easier to peel than the Juggernauts, and if you were to fix that to make him properly better at teamfights, you'd very likely utterly break him.
Granted, I'm guessing you already understand that (hence the sarcastic quip at the end of your post), but it's still worth mentioning anyway. From what I understand, there isn't much you can actually do to Nasus without making him even more miserable to play against. Sorry if you like the guy, but he is miserable to play against, just as I completely, 100% understand that Fizz is miserable to play against even though I love to play as him (I really do wish his invulnerable state were removed, just so people wouldn't be so understandably flustered).

I honestly believe encouraging him to want to teamfight rather than AFK farm and split push would make his infinite potential less daunting, even though we both agree in practical use it's hardly infinite. I also would still change his ability to chain wither, as I suggested above. This really wouldn't buff his lane phase in any way, if anything it'd be a slight nerf. I do believe what makes him miserable to play against is moreso about his AFK split push power and chain withering, both of which can easily have compensation buffs that make him perform much more consistently overall and better but healthier.
I'm sorry but lux is brokengly OP. I always play against good luxs hmmm i wonder why? she has safe long range, short CD, awesome utility, massive damage she has it all it's insane like her.
And yet she has very clear counterplay and plenty of hard counterpicks (i.e. Xerath, Fizz, Diana, etc.)
No lmao lux can handle all those champs trust me.
I'm simply saying that Lux isn't unbeatable. Besides, in high-level tournaments, pro teams have little reason to pick her over Orianna or Morgana, who have stronger utility.
In what way are those hard counters?
And yet she has very clear counterplay and plenty of hard counterpicks (i.e. Xerath, Fizz, Diana, etc.)
54.54% vs Xerath 53.61% vs Fizz 54.28% vs Diana
They "hard counter" her yet on average the game favors Lux. Perhaps you're just bad at playing against those champions.
Think of it in terms of Lux being a better team player than Xerath, Fizz, Diana. But trust me, in lane, they make her cry. Xerath outguns her by a huge margin, Fizz dodges everything she can throw at him, and once Diana hits level 6, Lux is meat on the table for the Lunari.

No, they actually don't. Lux dying in lane falls on the person playing Lux being aggressive. Any competent passive laner with barrier is never going to die to them. Lux got picked a long time ago by a foreign pro against an assassin with a defensive summoner spell, guess what? The assassin killed Lux 0 times by herself, every time they wanted to kill Lux they had to send 3+ people with multiple forms of cc just to kill her. Although, in soloq, it's not coordinated so there's no excuse to die. I don't even die in 2v1 dives when I play Lux on either of my accounts, even before when I was playing with 120 ping before any of these buffs.
Play AP Nasus imo. op
I really don't understand the balancing team at all. Veigar was below 50% winrate with DFG, his winrate dropped even lower after the removal of DFG, then when he was like 45% winrate they nerfed him even further.
Meanwhile their lovechild Lux has always been good and they just blanket buff her every other patch.
I agree hatedaddy, lets buff riven.
Nasus seems weak because all the other fighters got/are getting buffed Nasus had a good buff on his Q, and he's really fun to play tbh
