No really, this isn't a trick question. How the fuck are you supposed to ADC? It doesn't matter if you are catching people in trap after trap in teamfight, dealing the second most damage in the game by a longshot, and shredding tanks. none of that matters if your team will not peel for you, will not help you out, and will not group to take objectives with you.
The best part is hearing a teammate say "omg this cait" in all chat after he ran in 1v5...

No flash no life1 votesDepends. Generally I'd build typical adc items if my team knows each of their roles and make good decisions such as diving altogether to wombo combo or peel&kite backwards to fend off enemy frontline if trading the lives of each side's squishies is not favorable for us.
However, if I know my team isn't going to peel for me, either because of team comp (aram) or they have no idea how to work as part of the team, I typically build anti-divers because chances are, I will spend most of my game dealing with enemy frontlines instead of trading blows with their adc. I rush bloodthirster, phandom dancer, then last whisper. Depending on who I'm facing I may replace phantom dancer with qss; there was even once I got zhonya as 2nd item on ashe because I was dealing with zed alone most of the time.
