So is Karthus going to get nerfed or Dark harvest reverted?

Ever since dark harvests change I've noticed that Karthus....is unreasonably strong and for sure needs to have some power pulled

no amount of nerfs to dark harvest will fix this, this is a problem with karthus already being overloaded to begin with finally getting an abusable rune

Yes, Dark Harvest nerfs will fix Karthus. And calling Karthus overloaded is utter bullshit. He's got one of the simplest, most straight forward kits in the game.

It's actually a combination of several things on Karthus - for example the longer laning phase being really beneficial to him.

yeah, but im seeing karthus hit at least 100k dmg dealt to champs in a 40 min game, the longer laning phase should actually reduce that, but i dunno, he's perma banned now since he can go from 1/4 to 22/9 in such a short period

Not really. A lot of the Damage Dealt comes from poke. Just look at any champions with lots of poke in lane - they are the ones that deal the most damage. Karthus pokes a lot in lane with his Q, so that's 1.

He was also always one of the biggest damage dealers in games. His ultimate is global, so even at level 6 it's going to be over 1000 damage total in a single use. He also doesn't have any single-target spells in his kit, he deals a lot of sustained damage, which is always going to be higher, because of health regen, lifesteal, etc.

Again, I am not saying that he is in a good state, but it's more than just Dark Harvest that made him strong.

but it wasnt until dark harvest that i started seeing him every freaking game, up to the point where i now perma ban him simply because he makes games feel one sided, lost a few ranked games to first time karthus players

DH was changed in the pre-season patch, that also, for example, prolonged the laning phase. As I said before: Karthus' sudden growth to strength was a combination of several things, not only the change to DH.
DH is definitely one of the reasons, but not the only one.

that's why he needs some nerfs, a champ with a zero counter play ability that hits everyone on the map shouldn't be viable to begin with
