Is a bit strong lol. Not really a QQ but i did get my ass handed to me XD. I was Jax and i think ive only played Jax like twice, but no excuses i lost.

Anyways i tried farming and she walked up and did her Q thingy, it took out half my life which surprised me so i backed off. At level 3, thinking i could win a trade, i tried attacking her and i was wrong. Her knockup into her Q's was ridiculously strong even if i was using E. Also btw she can still use her tunnel burrow thingy while stunned, which i did not know, its like a moving stun symbol running away from you haha. Anyways she was pretty freaking strong... I think it was at lvl 4 she flashed into my turret and knocked me up i stunned and ignited then tried to jump away but she 100-0 me under my turret then just tunneled away and was no worse for wear cuz she can just burrow heal, come up attack, burrow heal over and over again.

So is Jax, and my lack of experience with him, just not a good match up or is her damage just really high? Like i tried using E on her when she was using Q to nullify it but idk it didnt work so well and when i stunned her she would just tunnel away then come back and dive me at the turret, then burrow away lol. Its like my damage even with cutlass and sheen (i also had randuins) was non-existant.

BTW i do know she is getting nerfed on the PBE, but i just want to know if it was her being OP or me being bad with Jax or Jax not being a good matchup... or all 3?

She is a bit overtuned right now, so there is that.

Otherwise, at level 1 try to harass her away from minions; pre level 2 her only damage is autoattack Q, and post 2 it'll either be one bite or burrowed Q + knockup. If you can E whenever she tries to jump in, then hit her a bit that works, but as Jax just try to survive and farm until you at least get Sheen (Jax is rather weak early, and Rek'Sai is strong). Late game you should be able to beat her if she tries to duel (just a word of warning, her E bite goes through your counterstrike), but early game you lose.

I see so my mistake was trying to fight her early game and not playing safer, thankfully my team was able to carry me but unfortunately i did feed her quite a bit. Thank you :).

Im new to Jax so i wasnt sure if i should rush cutlass or sheen, is sheen a better buy? Should i start Doran Shield or Flask?

Personally haven't played or fought jax very often (only a few recently), so take this with a grain of salt.

Overall, if you need damage I think sheen/triforce is better (for the proc burst, and since Jax benefits from all of the stats), and if you need more sustained damage/survivability a cutlass can be better (gives lifesteal for sustain (ONLY good if you can still hit minions safely. Otherwise you won't be using that lifesteal)). Jax can build pretty much anything he wants though. Otherwise, most of Rek'Sai's damage is in Q + W earlygame, so some armor can help mitigate her damage.

Early on though, Rek beats almost all other laners (see overtuned). If she gets a lead from minions she can probably hold on and be scary mid game, but she'll be forced into defence to do anything lategame (which combined with more teamfights, something Rek is kinda eh at, makes her fall off a bit). You outscale her, but unless your jungler is nearby (which can be good; if she tries to E in to harass you can quickly punish her) don't try to duel.

Hmm i shoulda build armor quicker then. I went cutlass first but i couldnt hit minions without being murdered instantly by her so i sorta just had to spin to stun everything then hit once or twice and jump away lol. So against Rek either dont be Jax or build armor first, sounds good :). Thanks for the advice.

She's receiving tons of nerfs on the PBE. Which is how she should have been to begin with. She has a Shaco-like playstyle with Talon burst damage and Warwick jungle sustain. Something had to go and they decided it'd be the damage. So essentially she's being "Shaco'd", which is nowhere near as bad as being Evelynn'd.

Lol no one wants to be Evelynn'd... Yes honestly i think its ridiculous for such a mobile and sustainy champion to have that much damage. Although had i known she could do that much damage (never fought her before top lane) i would have played different from the start, like staying at my turret all game.
