Doesnt Caitlyn Seem Like A Very General Form Of Jhin?

Professor Ward··2 votes·847 views

It cant be denied that their kits, and their fits in teamcomps are similar. The tradeoff really only lies in the fact that jhins ult "will usually" be superior to caits and he has a long range root. But cait has far more punishing traps, escape, and longer range with no real loss of anything, like jhin does in his attack AND reload speed.

Just seems to me like cait is jhin without as many negatives.

Thoughts?

Wasnt it actually confirmed by someone a long while ago that Jhin was caitlyns original rework?

Makes absolute sense as riot has stated that they are trying to go away from general and into more specific champions.

It seems like that because cait is blatantly OP right now.

Jhins has his ult and root for teamfights, ganks, picks, etc.

They start a teamfight differently. You can't compare anything to jhins ult

i can compare anything to anything, even apples to oranges. Compare: estimate, measure, or note the similarity or dissimilarity between.

Cait has a very solid teamfight root, 3-4 in one fight is even manageable, and adds massive damage to her attacks, though i agree it is almost impossible to use her roots during enemy disengage like you can with jhin.

Caits ult is also very very usuable for ganks and picks, and **cannot be dodged **without a teamate.

You can compare apples to oranges. Doesn't mean it's logical.

Saying that theyre both fruits, plants, edible, and sweet. Then saying one is red, and one is orange, is completely logical.

Did you read the definition of compare? The two things dont even have to have anything in common whatsoever to be compared.

Again. Compare: estimate, measure, or note the similarity or dissimilarity between.

jhins ult slows.

Caits ult doesnt slow.

Im done here. You're not even trying

you said you cant compare anything to jhins ult, then compared something to jhins ult............. Are you even trying?

This argument is stupid.

"You can't compare" is just a figure of speech. If you're being picky, you can compare anything. Its like saying there's nothing like 'x', then you saying, well 'y' is also a letter, therefore they're similar.

no. They have their own unique traits. You literally just listed them.

Didnt i say a very general form? i never said they were identical.

And the "unique" traits i did list were less than half of each champions kit lol.

Their passives, skillshots, ults, and traps, are all strikingly similar to me. Except that caitlyns passive, skillshot, and traps in my opinion, are generally stronger.

Anyone can write champion descriptions to make any two champions seem generally alike. They are unique champions, you're just not thinking about it correctly.
