My ideal champion experience isn't viable in league anymore...
My ideal League champion experience have always been persistant threats.
Were all champions you could imagine taking a laser shot from orbit, but you would still see them walking out of that cloud of dust, just more pissed off.
So many things took this out entirely.
The idea of early snowballing meant that mistakes costed you more.
Damage creeping up made it harder to be persistent
The previous two factors combined made games shorter, preventing you from reaching your 'unstoppable' stage
unreducable CC, kite, slows, and dashes are at an all time high.
Combine all these together, and you have a guy who invested most of his gold into items which get basically nullified, When hes not irreducabely locked out of movement he moves at the speed of a snail, and by the time you get to them they are basically dead.
Because It's who I am as a person. I value that perseverance. But that just doesn't exist anymore.
Have you noticed that the only usable tanks are ones that have kill pressure by themselves (Due to either extremely high base damage or some sort of amp + %hp damage) and have a shitton of CC, with artificial tank stats.
All hit this description to a point.
All have extremely high base damage/damage amp/%hp damage
All have artificial tank stats (Free armor mr/spammable heals shields
All have a ridiculous amount of crowd control
These are basically the list of viable tanks is because their tank stats allow them to live slightly longer than you, while the damage amp on their kits allows them to still keep up in damage
They all need this because tank stats just aren't a viable purchase if you're ahead. Damage is straight better, cheaper, and more instant effect. Snowballing gives them even more damage and you cant afford the tank stats to keep up.
Literally all these people are Duelists in lane, and massive tank numbers with damage amps and lockdowns in teamfights. That's the sort of perseverance you have anymore in this game.
And frankly im really sad to see it go.
