Ranked sucks the joy out of League

I used to enjoy just sitting down and playing some fun matches, getting neat pentakills (Or just double-kills) and stuff like that.

Ever since I started trying Ranked, I just don't feel that joy anymore. All I care about is that sweet LP, and it gives me physical pain to watch my adc feed her ass off and do no damage. Because all I can think is, "Oh, no. It's a 4v5, now. We're gonna lose," for the next 30 minutes. That ain't fun.

Does Elo Hell exist? If I have to put up with that, then I see no reason otherwise. I wanna rank up. I want people to know that it's not me who's the shit player, and I want my opinion to matter on these boards. But I can honestly admit that I just can't have fun doing that.

Unfortunately Elo Hell does exist.

I definitely understand where you're coming from. I see you also play support. It seems like everything under Silver II is suck for support players. I've come to terms with the fact that I just need to play ranked for personal betterment (or just stick to normals) and hope to place higher next season.

But I'm on a 15+ game losing streak and am now Bronze III so I could be wrong and I just totally suck. Don't take me too seriously.

Elo Hell does not exist. Boosters can't exist in a game with elo hell, because they would get stuck if skill didn't matter.

Fine, Elo hell doesn't exist, but I would argue that for Support especially if you suck at the beginning of a season and get placed below Silver III, it is really hard to climb even if you get better.

If you play support and really know what you are doing then you should be coming out ahead in the laning phase, maintaining vision in key places without dying to get that vision, and playing a key role in teamfights by peeling and initiating. If you do this well and have an active presence on the map (ie: not just playing passively all game and basically hoping to get carried) then you will climb the same as anyone else who performs well at their role.

For support, what you can do is win lane phase. Lane phasing is decided by supports much more than the adcs because of how adcs scale, especially if it is someone like Twitch or Vayne. That is why the Zyra/Malz meta was so strong and still is decent after the nerfs. If you're a better support, you can poke, engage, disengage, prevent ganks, all kinds of things to ensure your adc is way ahead. If you play something like Brand support, you can also get yourself into a good position to do damage too.

What pisses me off is the fact that there are so many trolls in ranked games. Especially in lower elos, silver is the worst. Bronze, everyone is bad and a few people climb out. Silver is a whole bunch of people who think they are the shit, and dont care about anything else, blame the world, and then argue and go afk and troll the most. Gold has a little of that, but mostly people are usually starting to learn how to play league. I had a friend say bronze hell you cant climb. Thats false. I started a new account (my normal account is gold 1, I think now a gold 2) and got outta bronze really quick. took me two months. SIlver however....that is hell. I literally have been going between silver 1 and silver 5 then back to silver 3,then to silver 5, then silver 2, back to silver 4, then silver 5.....etc....for 5 months now. I stopped playing ranked and just went draft and blind

LITERALLY SAME

It took me half a year to get out of Silver to Gold, and after that, I got to Gold 3 in a week before stopping Ranked altogether.

I wouldn't say Elo Hell exists...

buuuuuuuttttttt...

it is true that the closer you are the the bottom of a division (Silver 5, Gold 5, etc) the more heratic the games will be. Some people got into lucky win streaks which sent them into a higher division than they deserve, and they're protected from dropping (to a certain extent) to the below division. But the odds are that the noobs will be just as often in your team than in the enemie's, so in the longue run you should be able to climb if you deserve too.

But it is true that ranked can suck the fun out of the game. No matter how hard i try to convince myself to play it chill and consider it just like a norm, there's always a part of me that takes ranked more seriously and increases my stress level.

If it's a norm i can live with botlane feeding their ass off, if i did a good game and played well, i'm satisfied even if it's a loss. But when it's a ranked, it pisses me off when teammates ruin your odds.

i was almost gold , then ive droped all the way down to silver 4 , fuck this game , i hate it ill quit it forever when i reach gold , i mean forever , i ill never touch it again

It's not ranked its your desire for elo - it completely changes your fulfillment requirement from having fun to winning. The problem is people care too much about their rank at the end of the day

If you are truly good enough then you will carry and climb. There are rare instances where you get long streaks of bad teams or you are bad player for a while because you are playing without the correct mindset, but in the long run if you are good enough you will climb. Current adcs are almost all terrible so a feeding adc isn't uncommon, if you are good enough you can carry that. so at the end of the day you are most likely in the division you are suppose to be in, and looking at your ranked kda's and csing, you deserve to be in silver 5.
