Do us all a favor before you go off-meta in Ranked Queue
Make absolute sure that you have mastered you off-meta pick tot he point where most situations wont put you behind. Going off-meta is a part of league. It keeps the game fresh and somewhat interesting. But when going into a ranked game, players are bringing their all. You cant just go someone off-meta for the first time in a ranked game. Chances are you will fail pretty hard.
Another point is that by you going off-meta, the rest of your team has to work around you. Even if you feed. You are considered a liability to many. For example, Twitch jungle. While not a bad pick necessarily, he is not nearly common enough for the general player base to be use to it. SO don't expect your team mates to know what to do with your game play. Because of this you have to more or less make your own situations and "carry" yourself to where you can be a useful member of the team. Sure the team will try and help if possible, but don't expect instantly everyone comes running or help set up a gank by your presence alone. You will need to baby them and TELL THEM EVERYTHING.
Also, If going off-meta you more or less lose your right to complain if you get camped, focused, invaded, etc... You chose your champion, and you went off-meta. So expect a constant enemy threat for your life because you gave yourself a nice target and a good handicap which they will take advantage of if they are smart. By mastering a champion in an off-meta role, you help alleviate many of those difficulties which probably would not even be there on a normal, meta champion.
Basically, do not play a champion who you cannot play decently from behind (sometimes very behind) in an off-meta role if you are going to play them in that off-meta role in Ranked Queue.
Jungle is one of my main junglers in ranked atm.
