The difficulty in using information
Here's one small gripe I have with people telling others to search for champion counters and stuff similar to that.
And THIS APPLIES TO PEOPLE TRYING TO SEARCH UP INFO. Yes, it's also my fault for not adapting instantly on the fly or trying to spend over a million years to learn to destroy everything with pure muscle memory, but this applies to "use all this information around you, so just search it up and study."
The problem comes with changes per season/patch, and the output leading to outdated information.
I've personally ran into this issue when trying to search for how to counter champions in my laning matchups; sometimes the most contemporary of info of your champion vs. this champion or what items to build can change very often in one season or one patch, and sometimes that info could be 2 seasons ago or something where the meta was vastly different than the current one.
Sites like LoLcounter may or may not also be outdated because of champion changes via patches and/or reworks (which may create various meta shifts) as well as new champion releases. This even applies to videos; since one video may be from Season 3 when you wanted a video on Season 7 on how to play a certain lane matchup or make use of jungle routes for your jungle pick (and so forth).
Even if people say this information still would apply, the changes would amount to more time trying to figure shit out through trial and error depending on how big the said changes were/are from one patch to another.
This causes, in my honest opinion, a lot of information to be annoyingly outdated, and forces most people to experiment all over again to see what's the next form of meta for their champion/playstyle. I google search that shit, and I see stuff that is outdated from Season 2 or 4 as a non-blanket-statement example.
I'm very sure that old pre-Juggernaut
had a much different form of laning counterplay compared to current
.
It took for me if I can recall, roughly around 2 years overall to know how to outplay him through pure instinct, recollection and muscle memory with my
at my level of MMR at the time before getting banned.
Juggernaut
in comparison took around I think a few months during the start of Season 7 to see through his patterns and know how to counterplay him with no fear during the laning phase (this is from my experience, not talking about teammates throwing fights vs. him or anything like that). This was because back in Season 3-to-5 shit in my head wasn't ready to sink in yet compared to last year and especially this current year.
But then again, that's just me; does anyone actually have this problem? Cause honestly, I have to learn stuff through having it sink in game after game as opposed to knowing the info outright due to changes and/or outdated info.
