Should I take a break from ranked via playing normals?

Welp, people who've seen my 50/50 Wukong and horrible Yasuo can easily start to judge me hard.

I know that I'm a VERY VERY bad and retarded player. I mean, I'm Bronze 3. I LOVE playing Yasuo because of JRPG swordsman vibes and samurai, and also occasionally Yi, but of course to quote Naece, I'm a Trashuo. Even with mastery level 5. Even if I pick Wukong, he just has too many bad matchups in lane while as aforementioned being boring and outdated to me, and I'm afraid of going out of my Fervor + item 3153 abuse-comfort zone since I don't want to play a champion who's damage can be blocked by 10000 HP tanks.

As a result....should I just start taking breaks from ranked via playing normals? Especially since it seems that bronze 3 is the highest I can go.

And if you see my stats, yes, my champ selection is horrible since I can't cover for bad matchups for Wukong, Yi and Yasuo. I'm a terrible jungler player.

Of course though, there's also the fact that people fool around in normals more, and the fact that I could be fighting against anyone at any elo possible. Thus, improving on that mode seems unlikely.

And yes, for those of you who've queued up with me and fought against me, I know how very stupid I am. GG

TRASHUO 4 LIFE

P.S. I guess the League god is saying to me "I won't let you climb unless you empty your wallet on coaching lessons or you play Annie"

I stopped playing ranked a couple of weeks ago and it's been an absolute blast. Might go back eventually, but in normals I can play who I want in just about any role I want.

Might try AD Zilean just for shits n giggles. Slow, stun, slow again, they may never be able to run from my crit build! :P

You must've met me in-game. If you hold a grudge against me for a ranked game of yours I've tarnished, then just hunt me down and assassinate me then : P

k fool, so many things. 1; dont go blade on wu kong, not good item for him, probably chiefreason you get so bullied. if you need dmg go black cleaver, want more dmg than that? go trinity. if you hate phage for some reason, go lethality{youmous) bvut after a dmg item or two its good to get beefy and hard to kill 2; in norms, you arent fighting anyone at any elo, its all players with similar skills to you, just not a set parameter of a couple ranks apart from you like in ranked. 3'; yi and yasuo arent great top, many people do pretty well against them up there

Well, like I said, I know I'm retarded.

The main reason I go Blade on Wukong is so I can abuse the dueling power it gives early via his E steroid + Q on-hit reset, which allows me to stack fervor up with a few autos from the steroid then finish it with Q. I get why Hydra has its uses, but back then I had so much difficulty trying to deal with tanks. Plus, just enough attack speed + the usual runes and masteries setup on Wukong allows for the E-auto-Q combo to be very smooth thanks to the attack speed and Fervor abuse.

It also allows me to do a huge amount of damage on champs (I can delete squishes with lethality + Clever + BotRK as my only offensive items) and it allows for quick tower taking. Even in early game I could abuse the attack speed steroid from a BotRK rush because unlike most Wukongs, I bother to land a few autos (E steroid first optional) before trying to reset my timer with Q as opposed to just blowing all my spells at once, especially when I manage to farm up enough passively for my items.

I would play Renekton, but the SoloRenektonOnly fans would want to be out for my blood since my winrate with him would arguably be the same as Wukong's. Wukong is that one champ I know inside-and-out for around 2 years.

Yes, play normals!

Normal-game MMR is separate from Ranked-game MMR: You can be Bronze V in ranked, but have Plat MMR in normals if you git gud outside of Ranked games.

But as it was mentioned, people fool around in normals too often. : P I do blame one friend of mine for that argument though in terms of 'you have a chance of even fighting diamond-level players in normals'

Is there a way to check your normal mmr?

Play Normals. If you're fighting people who play like they're in Bronze, you have Bronze-level normal MMR. If you're fighting people who play like they're in Diamond, then you have Diamond-level normal MMR.
