Question: Rotating gamemodes

Like I know we had ARURF some time ago but I was also wondering. Remember when we had rotating game modes every few weeks and that just suddenly stopped? Like was there an Ask Riot about that? Maybe why they stopped because it feels like they just did it and pretended it was never a thing. No rant or anything just the game feels dry right now.
