Honoring opponents?

I remember reading an ask riot a while ago but I can't seem to remember the reason why we can't both Honor a person on our and the enemy team? Part of me feels there's an obvious reason but sometimes I really wanna have a way of saying. "Hey, that guy make a play i respect." or "The emotes/Dance they were doing make me chuckle" that lets them know that sides the post game lobby. Which often times get bogged down with an argument or everyone just left immediately.

From my experiences most of my opponent's either don't talk or are just awful to deal with(and are muted) which I feel makes honoring the ones who where pleasant all the more important.
