Oooh! I have a feature suggestion!

Everyone hates the way you've done the Leaverbuster thing, and I know you have lots of feedback on it already. Here's some more. it'd be really great if I could complete the wait BEFORE inviting people to join my party, just like you do for solo-queue. As is, no one is willing to wait the 20 minutes with me (understandable), so I can't pool party. On my one year anniversary of playing League. sigh.

How would that work though? When the game queues you up it tries to put you with a group of people. How would it know how many spaces to allocate for you + your group if they haven't joined yet? Also once you do find a group, what if those people don't accept? I just don't see how this would be feasible in a way that would actually add to the quality of queuing up for a game.

It's just like solo-queue. You have to wait for it to be over, then you get access to the teambuild thing. After the 20 minutes is up you invite people and then enter the queue. Not really complicated.

I think you need to explain this a lot more clearly. My understand is as follows:

  1. You get in this queue
  2. The queue pops and you enter into a 'getting ready state'
  3. You invite friends to join and so does that other person/people and then the game instantly goes?

How is this any different from teambuilder/just queueing up like normal? You basically just switched it so you invite people after which again, unless it is like teambuilder, makes no sense.

You've never invited people, have you? You do not enter the queue until after you invite everyone. There's like this "loading" page, like teambuilder but without role or champion selection, and you invite any number of people, click start the game, then accept the queue, and it matches you into a regular champ select after that. You can also quit from the "loading page" without getting the dodge timer.

You should party up man, it's pool party week. Check out the "RedditLFG", "RedditLFG1", "RedditLFG2," etc public chat rooms if you need more people.

But people have to join before it goes into champ select. It can't just start up a timed champ select hoping others will magically join.

If you are saying it would just wait forever, then you are describing team builder.

That's what the loading area looks like. When you click the button next to solo-queue that says to party up/invite friends, you get taken to that page. No timer, and you can enter the normals queue with any number of people (including just yourself).

Once you press the start game button, then you're put into the "queue" that you get put in immediately when you press solo-queue. Meaning you wait a few seconds/minutes, press accept, and then enter champion select.

I'm asking that instead of having the 20 minutes happen after we press the "Start game" button (which necessarily effects everyone in the lobby), it happens when we hit the "Party up/Invite Friends" button (ie, before we enter the lobby or can invite people) in order to actually get a chance of playing with a group.

What 20 minutes are you talking about? Maybe that is why I am confused.

...Leaverbuster is a time out that you have wait through when the system thinks you've AFK'd too much...It can be 5, 10 minutes to 3-6 hours. 20 just so happens to be the amount I got this time.

I totally missed the connection between your idea and leaver buster. I'm truely sorry haha. The time starts right away though, it just shows you it when you try and hit start.

It doesn't, actually. It works just like it does if you were in solo-queue, with the pop-up and the inability to do anything else while it goes. If the pop-up isn't blocking you from doing anything else, you still need to wait. The only difference is that it puts whoever's leaverbuster it is in the pop-up with the time, so everyone knows and can kick you.
