Ziggs stachel charge and CC

right now Ziggs only real escape ability is his W satchel charge.. this is also his only form of interrupt and, even as an escape it is VERY unreliable. on top of that he uses it to last hit turrets if they are low enough. and it has a VERY long cooldown.

but i do have 1 gripe about using it as an escape ability. is that if someone throws a CC at me i DO have the reaction time to place the stachel. but the CC hits me before it will detonate. AND while i am CC i CANNOT detonate the charge. so i am sitting on top of the charge CCed. and die because i cant activate the ability

i understand that i should not be allowed to CAST and spells during this time.. but i SHOULD be able to DETONATE my satchel charge while i am in CC.

because although you CAN detonate it mid air. when you are casting it right under your feet to knock yourself back.. there really isn't any "mid air" time to do this, especially while at the same time also positioning yourself properly to me knocked in the right direction.

i feel this would really help ziggs players with their already very unreliable escape tool.

just to be able to detonate it when under CC.

again NOT cast it, just DETONATE it if it is ALREADY on the ground

No other spell with a secondary activation allows you to activate it during CC.

i dont play every champ but what other champs have this? Gragas Lux, are there others? both of these are just damaing abilities that slow

Ziggs satchel charge is an escape tool. it DOES need it..

and even on that note.. i dont see why Lux or Gragas cant have it either.

i mean ALL of these abilities well detonate eventually anyways, NOTHING is going to stop that.. not even the champ dying.. not even the game ending... so.. why cant we activate them during CC, they are going to activate anyways.

im not saying lux or grag NEED this.. but ziggs certainly does.. im just saying.. i dont see any reason that prevents THEM from having it either

Anivia and AurelionSol Qs. Which are both a decent comparison in this situation, as they are both hard CC spells on champions without escapes.

You could also consider charged abilities like Xerath and Varus Qs as a similar situation, because CC will prevent them from actually finishing the spell, though technically those are channels so they make a little more sense. They're also just damage abilities.

yeah i did forget about Anivia and AurelionSol .. and yeah landing a stun is pretty important as they woudl negate thier stun becuase you would both be stunned.

so i think those two should get it as well

but i don't agree with Xerath or Varus both of those abilities will cancel if let them stay activated for too long and both are just line skillshot aka just damaging skills

Anivia AurelionSol Ziggs Lux Gragas

all of those ability will detonate regardless of anything, even if they champ died.

if killing the champ cant stop it.. why should a stun be able to?

i mean if I'm lux and i throw out my E. now i cant detonate it?

i mean what is the process of her NORMALLY detonating it? does she just THINK about it and it explodes? or does she think about having to keep it from not exploding?

i mean, i can see making an argument for if they are stunned it causes their ability to instantly detonate right then, but not for NOT being able to detonate it.

Because they're two-part cast abilities. On first cast, x happens, on second cast, y happens.

Y is going to happen no matter what.. regardless if press the ability or not... even if i die.. it will detonate when it reaches the timer... NOTHING can stop it... why cant i choose to detonate it early?

Zigg's damage is pretty unreliable at the moment. Late game his damage is crazy though, however they can easily Dash/Flash out o fthe entire circle.

yeah that's true.. but... what does that have to so with the original post? im talking about his W detonating.. not quite sure how that has anything to do with his damage or how avoidable his ulti is.

his damage late game is reliant on landing his ultimate.

Iunno, mate. Ziggs already seems to have a bit of a short fuse.

It's no reason to think little of him.

I take 10% flat cdr at level 1 and go the 45% cdr mastery. This gives me 45% with 1 item and boots making the w cd ~14 secs and ~10 at max rank. This is in line with other escape abilities and tbh mixed with the fact ziggs can literally cs from fog of war at level 4-5 makes him pretty safe.

You just wr reactivate w then q to knock a squishy into your ult q, it is especially easy if you can knock them into a wall. They can still flash early or if you are a little slow with the combo, but it makes 100-0ing someone a lot easier.
